Game Help / Re: IP address+Connection=Uh oh
« on: June 16, 2016, 05:36:00 pm »
I'll try to explain.

Your PC IP----> internet ----> FH Server

Normally thats how it works a nice simple connection the server sees your IP

What I believe is happening

When you connect with the exe I released

Your PC IP----> internet ----> FH Server

Still nice and normal

But when you connect to the website

Your PC IP----> Internet Providers Internal Proxy IP ---> internet ----> FH Server

Now the FH Server sees the IP of your internet providers proxy not your actual IP.

Because they don't match you can't connect.

Hope that explains...

Another user same problem and looking at your IP you both have the same internet provider?

Coincidence? I think not!

the virus note is that some viruses make it so you cant turn off the proxy when you go back into settings you will find they re enabled themselves.

You have to extract the POL out of the zip.

If I upload the POL on its own its just opens in the browser to it had to be zip'd

That means you either have a proxy configured somewhere..

http://www.enigmasoftware.com/how-to-disable-proxy-settings-browser/

There's a little guide to turning them off.
Edit:One other thought if you find you have a proxy setting that refuses to turn off chances are you have a virus :(

Or your internet is forcibly pushing your we connections though some other proxy.
Which for one is very anti privacy and also a little out of scope of what I can help you fix.
