I have recently joined this RP. And as far as I know now it isn't an actual group. I think there are the regulars, and the people who just show up to fight. The ones who started the group will tell anyone they do not "fight" to kill, they only do it for fun, and whenever I am there that is all we do if we aren't sitting around rambling to each other. The group has been around for a looong time. I encourage anyone to join us one day! 
Just come on over, everyone is welcoming and nice. As far as the power players you talk about, most of the time they are ignored, if not made fun of. They make themselves look ridiculous. The ones that claim to be the best and get violent are not usually apart of the fights, unless someone just feels like showing them up 'cause to be honest most of them are horrible at RPing. lol
