So I've been pondering how to respond to this for a bit, and I guess I'll just get it out since I need to lift this weight from my chest.

When I heard yesterday that there was an update to FH, I was excited. New maps, some upgrades maybe? Yes! I quickly rushed to see the list of updates, and as I read on, the more disappointed I got. Removal of all the maps, addition of these new ones. Maybe it's because I'm an old timer that I was just upset because I was sentimental. After reading the updates I thought "Oh, don't jump to conclusions. Give it a try." So I did. I couldn't get passed the character selection screen, but that was as expected since it was new and there were (and probably still are) some kinks to work out. No fret.

So I asked my friend to get me some screenshots so I could preview. She sent them to me, and it was not what I expected at all.

I found that what made FH so original, so adored by its long-time members and even the new ones, was gone. It was transformed into what could be set up as another Impressive World server. From my own experiences with Impressive World servers, none of them have any originality that causes any one in particular to stick out in my mind. They all just blend together, and I fear that it will happen with the new update.

From the generic designs of the maps (I was sent screenshots of two different maps, both looked exactly the same), to the Impressive Title items and Moonwalk animation, even right down to the portals being globes just like in Impressive Title/World servers, all I could see was a game that was "devolving" back into a game that was shut down a long time ago.

I don't mean to disrespect the staff, I don't doubt that it is incredibly hard and stressful to push out an update that is intended to better a game that was already adored so much. Especially without a source code. I don't doubt that the staff went to great lengths in order to make it possible for the community to enjoy an update. Good on the staff for taking a bold step in a direction that will probably be slightly controversial in the developed community this game has brought together. This is only my opinion, my two cents. And to the staff, I hope you guys can develop a great community around this new version of FH, and good luck to you.

Our Plot~

Last generation, a few werewolves started to repopulate in Autumn City, clearing the place out of the locals. The werewolves were let into the town on accident, a screw up of the government releasing hybrids of human and dire wolf. Soon enough, the city was empty- Theirs. But, deep in the government's laboratory, scientists and ecologists created a species of human, crossing their genetics and a snake's. These creatures replicated the myth of vampires, known to be mortal enemies of werewolves, thought to divide and conquer the werewolves, wiping them out. Then the vampires would die off, of starvation in the empty town. But, things went differently...

A small clan of vampires, a gang perhaps, formed in the outskirts of the city, calling themselves the 'Bloody Tears'. Unfortunately for them, the werewolves had adapted quite well, unexpected from the government and vampires. They knew their land, and used it to their advantage. Soon enough, the werewolves had made their own large, op clan, named 'Soul Seekers'. They advanced on the vampire gang(s), then broke out and took over, declaring revenge on the vampires and enslaving them all into brutal labor and suffering for eternity. The government did, can and will do nothing about it. This is the beginning of the end for humanity in Autumn City.

Of course, now it is different than before with basic torture and rules and law throughout the werewolves and vampires. Now, a new Alpha Male rules with an iron 'claw', by the name of Claimorco, son of the first Alpha Male. He is very harsh, cruel with the enemies but is looked upon as a strong leader for the werewolves. Most of the time. He doesn't do what he is told- He tells others what to do. Usually expected of an Alpha Male.

Werewolves- Enjoy life as it is, do what your heart desires.
Vampires- Gets on your hands and knees and hope you live another day.

Northern Woods Club 107

A small, run down town is the perfect place for illegal events such as drug dealing, robbery... And dog fighting. A huge organization promotes this cruelty. But the thing is, the two top dogs run the place in perspective, even the humans know that. It is very exclusive, rare and quite an honor to be let into the fight dog competitions.

This place has turned from a large profit maker for humans into a dominance show for dogs.

Pups are raised as fighters, and if they wish to continue, they can be tested and either rejected or accepted into the fight dogs. Others who don't want to continue fighting are cast out into the streets of Sandshore City, to be lone dogs or join a street pack.

Those street dogs can always come back to try for the fight dogs, but not all will be allowed in. The street is a much more free place to live and stand by. No top dogs, not many rules to go by, and your own free will is kept clean. The street is filled with those who either can't get into the fight dog club, or who don't want to be adored and a treasure to the fight dogs, or have abuse struck on them for any screw-ups.

Pups are a precious tool for both street and fight dogs. For street dogs, it's a chance to pass on genes of the dominant wolves, and a way to raise more dogs as wanted. For fight dogs, it's a way to make money and win the love of their masters. Not all fight dogs have masters, though. But all are under possession and control of Diana and Loca, the top dogs of the place.

As fight dogs, you are brought up strictly as warriors under the control of Diana and Loca, two very harsh and vicious females, who are best friends, and the top dogs of the fight dog club. There are two dogs voted as Honorable Fighters, male and female, who are the best fighters the club has and act as bodyguards and are the two to mate together, not for love, but to breed the best fighters we can.

Military style, darkly pelted and cursed with our green eyes. We seek revenge on the Fallen Shadow Pack.

Military ranks. Military strict. Military punishments. Military tags.

We are the Dark Vengeance Pack.

Ever since World War X, the world was destroyed. People have become extinct, many species have decreased. Out of the burning shrubs, a male wolf named Glade came forward to restore the wolf population, starting his own pack.

Date: June 28th, 4067
World War X: A political argument between the Middle Chromes and the Northern Chromes. Northern wanted to keep the air supply under sale, making the plants just decoration and... plastic, inflatable so people would buy air containments to keep the economy rich. Yet the Middle Chromes wanted to demolish that idea, not building the Horizon Wall to block off surrounding air supply coming from the West. The Middlers wanted to increase plant life and keep the economy balanced with the people. Finally, a war broke out that lasted 20 years. The world was demolished, dormant volcanoes becoming active and erupting. Burning, ash-ridden air, diseases spreading. People were in danger of their own existence, and finally, after 7 years of suffering, they died out. Many animals had died out as well, such as elephants, birds, and crocodiles. Yet, a small population of wolves survived through the harsher times. Only a small part of the world was safe- Fluorite Plains. A male who called himself Glade started up his own pack. Wolves now starting to thrive, repopulate and have their own hierarchy programming. We still don't know if life will ever be the same...
