Game Discussion / Re: Dragons Coming Back?
« on: March 21, 2015, 10:29:55 pm »
Huh, I... never knew they left...
But it's good to see they're slowly being revived, in any case. As someone who knows many people who love them, maybe everyone can collectively group together to fully bring back the supreme master race dragons?

Ahem, all joking aside... I do have to agree that it's a nice change to see something that isn't a wolf or a lion running around every now and then. Especially in places such as Ascension Island and Sky's Rim, which tend to be pretty dead these days (the former in particular). Not to mention--as everyone's probably said already--lots more ideas tend to come from mythological creatures 'n stuff, and as you know, that's something that's always fun to watch and see.

So... yeah. Lots of potential there.

Sometimes, though I've always found it's better if you don't take things seriously if you do happen to encounter someone who recognizes you. Just designing the characters is fun in itself, really.

Right now, I'm currently alternating between various characters from Steven Universe (especially Lapis Lazuli) as well as a few others that I don't necessarily use for RPing purposes.

I do have to admit that it's kinda been an interesting experience thus far handling/RPing canon characters. Not only do you have a better chance of meeting/talking with people who share your interests, but you also get to learn and study how a character's written, etc. (I think that's where the main appeal is, tbh.)

Well, the concept certainly has potential, I'd say. With the issue of how it'd ever get there aside, it still seems like a good idea on its own. I'm sure more people will be interested about a little animal game to play on the go. As for consoles, that's.. a bit iffy to me.

There's less of a crowd to draw in for starters (especially for the "top" competitors, Sony and Microsoft). Ignoring transfer/port issues, I just can't imagine playing a game I've adjusted to on a keyboard and then switch over to a controller. It'd just feel stiff and awkward, y'know? Plus there's the issue of in-game chat, as well..

Basically, mobile = good; console = bad.

Well, of the most recent occurrences, I've watched my friend get "married" in the South Pole with another person as Disney's Frozen characters. A lot of people jumped in and volunteered for the usual roles (ex. ring bearer), which made it pretty memorable, I'd say.
I've also spotted:
- a female waffle
- an Animal Crossing RP
- pups "hunting" a crocodile
and plenty of other things that I've probably forgotten. cx

Game Discussion / Re: Do you RP?
« on: January 30, 2014, 01:21:53 am »
I'm rarely wandering around in-game without one in progress nowadays, so I enjoy RPing more than I do chatting, I'd say. Although it's difficult to find a good partner, when you do it can actually be pretty entertaining. I'm kinda the type of person that enjoys long-term RPs in particular, usually with some sort of variety along the way. Typically, I do it to get used to the character I'm using and sort of develop them along the way. Whenever said character is based off of an existing/trademarked character (i.e. Simba from The Lion King), it usually helps me better understand their personality.  It probably improved my writing along the way, too, so yeah. It's quite a fun experience, in my opinion. c:

Presets & Markings Tutorials / Re: Transparent Wings
« on: May 28, 2013, 06:58:30 pm »
I'd have to say that the tutorial is fairly nice and easy to interpret, but you don't really need GIMP. Any program that allows for transparency will do (Paint.NET and Photoshop are two of the more common ones). You can also just open a new image that's 512x512, erase the white space, and name it preset_(number)equip.png. Just wanted to point these things out if you weren't aware. ^^'

I managed to make the wings invisible, but my character looks like a marshmallow, just white and texture-less all over.

Is there any way I can just use the normal default markings for my character, but still use the invisible wings preset?
I think I can understand, but I'm not entirely sure. You can still have invisible wings just by adding the equip code and then adding a transparent image, but you'll have to create the rest of your preset in order for it to look right. You can copy the fur texture from media>textures and all of the markings are there as well. From there you'd need to simply color your texture and copy the markings, then place them underneath the fur texture. There are plenty of tutorials floating around, too, if you don't quite comprehend what I'm getting at.

Game Discussion / Re: The Funniest/Stupidest Things People Have Said
« on: December 18, 2012, 10:06:12 pm »
Apologies if this is inaccurate in some way (and it most likely is), but it has been quite a while since this first occurred.. haha..

I remember a time in Bonfire when I created a hare character and ran to the coast. After a bit of roleplaying, I said that I would "be right back." Regardless, some sort of neon blue animal walked up to me as I had left and stated "kills no miss," or something along those lines. After I came back, I began to roleplay once again, stating "The animal's eyes widened at the sight of the creature and it fled immediately, crawling back into its home." The player then proceeded to shout "GODMODDER!!!! UR SUPOSE 2 BE DEAD!!! POWERPLAYER!!" or something of that sort continuously. I tried to explain to them that I was inactive at the time and that "kills no miss" is godmodding as well, yet they ignored my statement and continued to try to insult me with "UR DEAD DUMB BUNNY!XD DIE STUPID." After a while, I felt kind of awkward and merely left.

It was quite humorous at the time since it was the first sort of player I had encountered that intentionally tried to kill my character in the worst way possible.

Discussion Board / Re: What do you want for Christmas this year?
« on: December 15, 2012, 06:35:53 pm »
I'd have to say I'd really want PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and some felt to finish a gift I was creating for a friend, hoping to complete it before her birthday comes around. Perhaps a nice scarf would be a pleasant Christmas gift to receive as well, since I haven't worn a scarf since I was very little.

I really favor red foxes, Komodo dragons, and golden-capped fruit bats, listing them around the same position were I to make a favorites list. Ravens and goats (all of them) are considered a second favorite, below all three of those stated.

Beautiful skeleton and eagle. It's nice to see some originality around here.
