Game Help / Re: Preset creating/preview issue

^^' Whoops I figured out what was wrong. I'm just an idiot haha, my game didn't mess up at all. I broke the coding in the material file by accidentally pasting over a line of code. Everything is fixed now.

Thanks for all the help though!

My resourse.cfg is completely untouched. The presets were showing up in the editor's list until I edited them in any way.

My game also already runs on DirectX 3D9 by default, though I checked OpenGLL as well and it has the same problem. Didn't think the rendering system would have anything to do with files not appearing but I'm willing to try anything. :D

I just downloaded the game fresh so I can't see why any of the default folders wouldn't be working properly...

Game Help / Preset creating/preview issue
« on: May 22, 2015, 04:07:51 pm »
So coming back after a very long break from FH, I decided to make a preset as the first thing I do. Since, I have lots of fun making them... Until frustrating bugs like this happen.

As you can see from this picture, my Preset 1 and Preset 2 are missing in-game, in the preset creator tool. I can't scroll up any further, they've just disappear from the list. They only disappeared from the list once I changed or removed any of the preset images or the .material code. They don't even show up broken with a black/yellow texture, they just do not exist. You can also see that my preset_2 folder (and preset_1 folder that you can't see) does still exist, and have the files in them that I'm trying to preview.

So what do I do? I've tried closing and re-opening the game. This happened in the preset_1 folder to start and I thought it was a freak glitch so I tried in the preset_2 folder. I'm scared to attempt putting the files in and editing the .material of another preset folder for fear they'll all disappear. I've made around 20+ presets before and never had this bug happen until just now.

Just to clarify, almost any file you download will give that warning. It does not mean that the file is a virus, it's just your computer's virus protection letting you know that you're downloading a file from the internet which could be a virus. But if you know what you're downloading is safe and from a safe website, then it's most likely not and you can just ignore the warning.

Game Help / Re: Preset Exporting Problem
« on: September 19, 2013, 07:42:00 pm »
It's not a coding error, I've checked it multiple times... Also if I put my username in the username field and then export it, I can and it works fine. It's just with his username it won't export... I sent him all the files for the preset, but I mean, that's not going to help at all because he can't export it as his so he can't use it... So how do I fix this? :c Or am I just going to have to tell him he needs to make a new account JUST to play his character with a preset on it...?

What do you mean by that? All the images to the preset are in the right file, it just won't export. I assume because the username has a : in is, and you can't put : in file names... But without that he can't use the preset 'cause it won't show up as his and let him use it I think.

As long as you type their username in the username field you can export it as their preset and they can use it.. I have before. But he doesn't have another account, so there's no other username I could use for it. Plus it's for a specific character of his in a roleplay. :I I'm just not sure what to do... It'd suck if he can't use presets at all 'cause of his username. Plus I already spent like 7 or 8 hours making it before I realized I can't export it....

Game Help / Preset Exporting Problem

I'm trying to make a preset for someone but their username has "." and ":" in it, and it keeps saying 'failed to export preset', so I don't have any idea how to get the preset to be useable....
