Ee-yup. Pretty much, I have seen so many people assume this, so it's nice to see some agree with me.
And Kelsey, you also have an amazing profile in general.

Game Discussion / Why do people automatically assume...?

Why do people automatically assume immortal or powers = OMG! GOD-MODDING POWERPLAYING MARY/GARY-SUE!!!1!one!!eleven!!11?
It's not. Most often, yes, it is played off the wrong way so it goes into powerplaying, god-modding, mary/gary-sue-ness, but not all the time. So why do people auto-assume this?
Mary/gary-sue is someone perfect, flawless. Powerplaying is controlling another character without permission. God-modding is the ability to do anything without boundaries(I may have confused one for the other; I'm a little rusty, bear with me).

So long as your immortal character/character with powers can get hurt, has bad personality traits to even out the good ones, and can use powers to an extent, you should be fine. I don't get why its considered so awful.

Why do people think this? It's hard to play it off right, but...a lot of people here are experienced enough and it's still considered bad here, I believe? These people know how to do it right. And they're considered not good enough because people assume.

Oh, my god. I hate when this happens--like, if you want to roleplay, please at least listen? Especially when, like what Infinite said, your character is a bit different and needs some explanation to be understood. It's awful when they don't bother to do anything to understand the character. I don't understand why people do it.

Yeah. I know I haven't been here long, but really, really long ago one of my sister's liked this game, I believe, and I'd watch and it seemed a lot more, well, OOC.
Now it's roleplay and I sometimes try to spark a non-roleplay convo and I get one or two short sentences.
That's why I never roleplay and sit and watch others, I prefer OOC.

Thank you both very much! It means a lot.
Also, only does have wings. Thought I missed something in the description!

In game, I prefer to use the canine model. But for general roleplaying otherwise, feline all the way, most of the time.

Species / Canis Spiritus

Okay, so...I got bored. And this is what happened. Buuut before you go on, just a warning--this isn't like super duper professional thread with so much coding and stuff. It's just a little idea.
So back to the species...

Names

Canis Spiritus is the scientific name for these creatures; it is derived from the Latin words canis, meaning dog, and the word spiritus, meanig spirit. Many simply call them Striped Spirits or Striped Dogs due to their pattern.

They call each other by specific names though. Names such as Tanzigo (tahn-zee-goh), Ngeu (nuh-gwah), and Zuekama (zoo-com-bah) are just a few.

Appearance

Striped Spirits are fairly small and slim with short muzzles, large ears, and big eyes with no pupils. They have pelts that can vary from dark grey to black with a lighter, creamy belly, darker tail-tip, and stripes most commonly found on the legs, tail, and back along with a mask on the face of the same color. These markings can be anywhere from a light brown to a very dark brown, or almost black. Their eyes are always shades of blue and the noses always an orange or brown. Each and every Striped Spirit has antlers of some sort.

Females, called does, have almost no difference from males, called bucks, except they have small, often dark-colored wings that are used to scare off larger predators when spread out. Males are also typically found to have darker patterns and tail-tips.

Baby Striped Spirits, called pups or cubs, look almost nothing like what they will be when grown up. Their pelts are light grey and their bellies are almost white, developing their creamy color later. They aren't born with their masks or stripes; those develop later on, starting a creamy-white then becoming more brown. Their eyes start off with pupils that disappear over time and they are white in color, soon which turns to blue. Antlers and/or wings grow later on, too.

Traits

Canis Spiritus don't really have a ton of special traits. They are swift and love to run because of so, having tons of stamina. This is mostly because they aren't fighters; their antlers and wings are used as a last resort. They are fairly quiet and many people report seeing them "disappear". This is only because they can run away so quickly, it seems like a blur.

They live in groups mostly from three to ten, consisting of two to three bucks and the rest all does and/or cubs. Does hunt and patrol while the males take care of the cubs and fight. They are very social and love to joke around.

These photos are somewhat large, so I will use spoiler tags.

This has happened to me a couple times; and I just don't get it...
Why are you going to ask people to roleplay with you, if all you're gonna do is constantly walk away and not say anything...?
No logic in that.

I went in Bonfire as "Dat Crocodile" once.
It was more entertaining than it should be. And I even ended up starting a small trend of alligators and crocs for a few minutes ouo

Bro, you understand, you're complaining about something you kinda are?

1. It's Legostar, not LegoStar. Only the first part is capitalized. Who looks like a child fool now? And too, not to.
2. INliterate? Really? You're complaining about people not spelling right and you spell illiterate as inliterate?
3. At least is two separate words.
4. Oh random off-topic spam how wonderful yeah that's nice.

P.S;
Whipped cream doesn't solve the world's problems at all, it worsens some--obesity for one. That stuff isn't healthy for you.
