I like your traditional artworks due to the colouring and shading! They are very nice (: The digital ones are quite nice aswell, you have the proportions about right, but they could use a bit of work yuo have put into the traditional drawings of yours - either making them more fluffy via drawing lines on fur or changing the type of shading (gradients don't work too well).
You're doing well, keep up your nice work (:

Of course I will draw more, but I'm taking a lot of time to do that, due to studying and now working in a building company during vacations. I am however waiting for commission details from one person, so there will be more art for sure :)

I've ended one that was started in the beginning of February. It's available now in my deviantart gallery.

I'm glad you like it, Shenidan!

Hurgf, thank you very much for your comment! :) I love putting a lot detail into my art, it makes me feel calmer as I am a very nervous person in real life. When I draw, all the nerves seem to fade away. I'm still practicing though, I wish I was able to achieve a similar level in my drawings but without using the grid, but it would take much time for me. It's also my flaw because if I rely too much on the grid I stop trusting my own eye and start loosing proportions here and there, like I did in my recent commission I'm still yet to finish.

Other Games / Guild Wars 2
« on: July 21, 2013, 08:29:58 am »
I was actually wondering for some time if FH players also play this game.

Guild wars 2 is an online MMORPG game which storyline focuses on fighting the evil dragons, who had casted corruption onto the beautiful world of Tyria. You can follow your storyline, play in various dungeons depending on your level, and complete the whole world map. It is not required to have it completed in order to finish your storyline, however the game itself is so amazingly done it would be a shame not to. It offers various types of armour and weapons, which you can also craft yourself. Crafting in this game is relatively easy and very useful, since it helps you level up. You gain experience out of crafting, exploring the workd, doing your storyline, aiding the npc's. Basically, everything. The level cap i 80, but don't think you'll grow bored once you reach it; the real fun starts just then. There is also a PvP and WvWvW option (where servers fight with one another).

There are following playable races: Asura, Charr, Human, Norn, and Sylvari.

Each of the races can be played as following proffessions: Guardian, Warrior, Engineer, Ranger, Thief, Elementalist, Mesmer, and Necromancer.

Do you play GW2? Which server do you play on? Do you like it? Do you not? Why?

I'm flattered, thank you! My skills are in fact a mixture of stubborness, my affinity to adding fine details, a giant amount of time and sometimes those helpful methods like using the grid when I want my drawing to be as close to the photograph as possible. I'm really glad you like the results of my work :)
I'm also really sorry for replying late, I've started qorking this week and still cannot get used to it.

Exe, I'm very glad you like it! I wish I had time to draw as often as I used during high school.. Recently I was so busy I'm still drawing my commission from January, which I find very embarassing ._.' Again, thank you very much c:

.Re~, I'm happy you like my art aswell! However I cannot draw hyperrealistically without helping myself with the grid, and I admire those a lot more experienced artists that are able to do this! You'll find plenty of them around the Internet and Deviantart, you just have to look around ^^ I'm just a passionate who practiced long enough to know some stuff about drawing ^^

The Art Galleries corner is actually one of, if not the most favoirite part of each forum I am at.  I love traditional drawing and painting, aswell as viewing other people's creations. If asked, I critique others' art. However I know some people are uneasy with critique, especially afar from sites dedicated only to showcasing your art.
I also have been trying myself in watercolour painting recently.

Back on the subject, I've been drawing from over 11 years now and not only it's my passion, but sometimes my work aswell. University however has made me limit my time I dedicate to it. During the last 2 years 90% of my art has been done as tasks for my university.

Here are some examples of my artwork, all of it can be seen here: http://ladyfromeast.deviantart.com/

I draw still life and open air paintings, fantasy art and hyperrealistic drawings, I help myself with the drawing grid for the latter.

It's a very nice drawing! You've got the proportions quite right and it looks very well! You should practice a bit with the pencil, so that your strokes will be smoother and thus the artworks will have a better look, but still, good job :)
