Hey there! Blackpaw here, Developer of FeralRealms, and I am here to recruit new packs, clans, or whatever fantasy group you have into an immersive, ~20 map wide Roleplay, with claimable territories, community events, constant map updates: The Works.

We are a previously revamped form of the game FreeRealms, closed a year ago on March 31st, eager to keep our Roleplay Community alive, we have recreated our world in FeralHeart, and are looking for new inhabitants to call the many maps of FeralRealms home.

here is a simple teaser video for FeralRealms, all of these are actual maps, featured on the Official FeralRealms Youtube Channel

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=AQVO1xoGQaA

In addition to the absolutely gorgeous landscape (which is about 25% of the entire landmass featured), here are some incredible reasons you and your group should consider joining FeralRealms (if you don't have a group, we have a few already started here, or you can start your own!)

1. A Community Roleplay
FeralRealms is not your typical roleplay, the days of "Can I join your RP plz" are over in these maps, immersive, ever-changing, and all-inclusive RP with no restrictions on you and your clan/pack are the sort of roleplay we want for both ourselves and for you. Future planned events like the Gloam invasion, the weekly gatherings in the official gathering map for all map and RP news, and fun OOC events like the bi-weekly Cosplay day are just a few of the events WE as a staff plan, not to mention anything you and YOUR group want to do! The More that get included, the more massive we become!

2. Your own Territory.. or is it?
FeralRealms is a constantly-changing world, and with potential rivals or allies around every corner, you won't be stuck looking for other groups to rival with, or to ally with. Plenty of organized events or simply stumbling upon someone who screams "Hey! Get off my lawn!" are ways to get in a engaging and (hopefully) friendly RP. We hope to keep the storyline of a constantly-warring community alive but with a good and friendly OOC relationship.

3. RP how you'd like.. or don't
FeralRealms has no RP restrictions, Semi-lit, literate, two words or three hundred and nintey-four, we don't mind. Your Warriorcat is pink with yellow stripes? Cool! FeralRealms rules are being designed (and are IMPACTABLE by Group leaders) to encourage RP of all types, shapes, and sizes. As long as you're tolerant of others and looking to enjoy yourself, you're going to have a good time!

4. An Extensive Lore already set, but history can always be made
FeralRealms lore has lasted about 5 IRL years in literal character and roleplay experience, some of the members you will come across have lived in the same lands for that long, and are eager for new blood.. *ahem* I mean friends.. to join in the fun! Become a part of the already extensive FeralRealms Lore, join the Traditional Wolven Empire, rekindle the honor of the Ancient Warrior Clans, or bring something completely new to the table! With documented history of actual Roleplay events, you can actually make history as your actions dictate the condition of the world, for good or evil (hehehehe...)

5. An ever-changing World
FeralRealms is constantly (monthly) being updated with revamped maps, new features, bug fixes, and maintenance, the staff here is eager to make a difference in your roleplay experience, and work day in and out to make our world a more beautiful and magical place.

The Real Question is, why WOULDN'T your group join FeralRealms?

Things We are Looking for
1. New, Old, or soon to be created Warrior cat clans/Wolf Packs willing to accept the RP styles of a widely diverse community (In this RP, Warriors are a panther/cat mix, making them of equal size to wolves for battle purposes)

2. Artists: Mesh Makers (need an official Mesh Maker), Item Makers (same as Mesh), general artists (Drawings, etc),

3. Senior Leadership: Wikia Moderators, Map Developers (One-Two)

4. A "Villainous" group to take up the Gloam Threat, more information if requested

If you have ANY questions at all, please feel free to ask  me in-game: Muralles

I can more easily be contacted via the FeralRealms Wiki, our official home for all things FeralRealms

www.feralrealms.wikia.com

Please go pay FeralRealms a visit, we are looking for more people to share the fun in this beautiful world.

Happy Exploring!

~Blackpaw,

This, 100000 times this

I actually migrated along with my entire RP community from a different MMORPG (FreeRealms) where all of the rp was put in between little action indications (-like so-)

What I find particularly INFURIATING is when people automatically assume we are some sort of "illiterate trash" quoting a group we encountered.

I'm sorry, but honestly what is the point of judging someone in an RP when the whole objective is simply to describe an action, whether in between lines, stars, in the third or first person, as long as you get your point across, what's the matter?

Writing isn't about putting the most words into a single action, it's about describing something adequately with a reasonable amount of words. Wolfspeakers and picky literates need to get off of their high horses, in my opinion.

Game Help / Preset not Visible by others?
« on: August 06, 2014, 04:00:11 am »
So I've created a great looking preset and have exported it to the presets folder, I have copied the presets folder and pasted it onto the desktop, where I later uploaded it to Mediafire for download. The people who downloaded the preset and put it in their preset folder were not able to see the preset?

I've sent the .jpg files to another person and had them copy them and rename them to my username after exporting them and yet my preset is not yet visible by my friends. What happened?

Welcome FeralHeart inhabitant, to Feral Realms

What is FeralRealms?
Feral Realms is a 20-map map pack that is designed to house a large scale multi-group roleplay, we are currently inviting members and entire groups to join!

The entire world itself takes place in a land called Sacred Grove, which is inhabited by Wolves and a Cat/Tiger/Unknown hybrid feline that is roughly equal size to wolves.

Feral Realms is based off of the world of FreeRealms, so if you've ever played FreeRealms, many of the regions and places you will see are quite familiar!

What is the FeralRealms Landscape like?
From the Icy Mountains of Snowhill to the Deep Swamps of Blackspore, to the Dense forests of Greenwood to the Quaint Forestry of the Wilds, FeralRealms has almost every biome type, if you're willing to explore! Below are some Pictures of FeralRealms! Remember, these pictures are only a small representation of the vast variety FeralRealms has to offer for your group.

Can my Pack or Clan find a home here?
Yes! The entire map pack is open to clan/pack claim, but beware, other FeralRealms inhabitants are able to chase you off of your land, and may venture into your territory, protect it well!

How do I apply?
FeralRealms is completely open to all FeralHeart Roleplayers, of all ranges of experience, If you're not tolerant of other's RP styles, this may present a problem for you.

To Download Feral Realms, and to learn more, please visit our Wiki, hosted by Wikia.

If you're interested, either sign up there, or post here, one of the FeralRealms Developers will get back to you as soon as possible

Game Help / Map issues? Multiple editors?
« on: March 27, 2014, 07:14:49 pm »
Hi there, I have a fairly odd Map question.

A friend and I are working on a new map, and my friend is going to be leaving town (and his computer) for a period of time, but wants the map to still be worked on while he is gone, he trusts me to be able to work on it for him while he is on vacation. Is it possible for him to send me a map file (the .map file in terrains, possibly?) and make it editable for myself?

Thank you!

Game Discussion / Re: What annoys you in-game?

I think what grinds my gears most is the social exclusion, particularly in roleplays. As a transfer from one roleplay game to another, I can tell you the majority of roleplayers I have encountered here are very picky of who does and does not take part in their roleplay. Back in my day (lol, I sound like an old man) people could just jump right into a roleplay, and it was fun! My pack would be exploring a new territory (this is on another game where territory claiming was allowed) and we would suddenly run across a wild warrior cat. Chaos would ensue, we would chase the cat, the cat would play along, and everybody got a good experience. In the past few occasions where I attempted to jump into a roleplay with some wolves, I was harshly declined (the short period of time after downloading and before exploring the forums).

I think cursing and vulgarities in chat is definitely one of the main focuses of the staff, and they do their best to make sure it doesn't happen. However, running a server of 700+ members is not as easy as it may seem, and the mods are not going to be able to catch EVERY occasion. In the situation of a "potty mouth" where no staff member is available, I usually just ignore the person (either by blocking or just not acknowledging their presence) or politely tell them not to speak in that language. I find that, after long periods of exposure to social disapproval, usually the person calms down and stops cursing altogether.

In short: Cursing is bad, but we cannot stoop to the level of the foul mouthed in order to put them in their place, as that causes only conflict and an unresolved situation.
