Game Help / [Canine] Mane display issue
« on: March 12, 2017, 10:01:00 pm »
Hey guys, old veteran here, from way back when this game was simply named "Impressive Title."

Despite that, I have a dumb question.

I've made a custom preset but when I try to add a mane, it displays black and yellow, like so: http://i.imgur.com/nXsrv7O.png

(pls excuse the terribad quality of my preset; this is my first whack at it and I'm basically flying by the seat of my pants here)

I have looked all over the boards and the readme's in the game files, the tutorials on the homepage proper (which are out of date) and I don't see any templates for manes or any means of getting the mane to display the correct color (being dark auburn) that I wanted.
Halp?

I'm having a lot of trouble with making my characters markings seamless on the body UVs. This is attributed to my characters markings.
I drew a quick speedsketch of my fursona to illustrate what I'm talkin bout:

(yeah I know it's janky it was super quick buh)

Since there's two rings encircling each foreleg, it's important that it's as close to seamless as possible, but I've done this trial-and-error process countless times--saving, inserting it into the files, booting up the game, viewing--and it's always really off. No matter what I do.

I've scoured the forums for some kind of guide or tutorial addressing making seamless UVs involving rings/stripes/etc. Can't find a thing.

SO, is there anyone out there with knowledge to enlighten me on getting this to work out for me? I'd so very much appreciate it!

Game Help / Re: What code is FeralHeart written/created with?

It is apparently "theoretically" possible to reverse-engineer the game and extract the source code from it. I'm looking into it.

Don't get me wrong on this: I LOVE the game, have ever since Impressive Title, but the GUI is the fugliest thing I've ever seen, and I can design a nice, streamlined, intuitive UI and possibly get it implemented to replace the fugly. :D

I know KovuLKD knows, but he's pretty much dropped off the face of the earth, yeah?

I'm just curious... does anyone know the coding language KovuLKD used to write FeralHeart?
Lua? Python? Javascript/Java? C++? Or whut?
I need to know what makes this game tick. I'm just silly like that. x3

Hey guys, Blackfeathr here!
I'm somewhat of a hybrid new/old user~

I started playing waaay back about 7 years ago, when it was still "Impressive Title." Dorked around the game for a few months, but then life happened and I left it behind. Just recently though I've found this place again and after many frustrating days of trying to catch the registration open, I have returned! :D

Ramblings aside...
I'm 25 years old, self-taught artist, aspiring traditional animator, attending art school. My personal specialty is animals/furries (mostly canines).
My fursona is a coyote, as shown in my avatar, grinning stupidly. :U

Aaaanyways, I'm glad I'm here and I hope to be here for a long time, hopefully making friends (that can tolerate my dumbness) in the process!

So... there's no way to reverse-engineer the game and extract the code from there?

Man, I was prepared to design a new UI for this game... guess that's part of the "can't be done because no source code" category, aye? :c
