Game Help / Re: Preset Mane Problems
« on: November 27, 2017, 07:48:12 am »
It's no problem at all! I'm just sorry I can't be more helpful. xD But have you tried reexporting the mane from your art program?
It's fine, and yeah I've done that countless times and it doesn't seem to do any good. But thanks for trying~ (why does that sound so mean I swear I'm really thankful for your help)

I see your possible problem. Your mane file is named "preset_7mane.png" Rename it to just "preset_7mane" and see what that does.
That's not it's name, that's the file type, I still tried though.

I do appreciate you taking time out of your day/night to help me though~

Make sure your mane file is .png and that it is set to .png in your coding file.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/8hat5gzt4eg9x3j/bandicam%202017-11-26%2023-14-49-735.jpg?dl=0 both are .png, and I took out the .xcf file to see if it was affecting it but it wasn't. It's still remains blank.

Game Help / Blank Preset Mane
« on: November 27, 2017, 04:59:40 am »
So I searched up ways to fix the transparency problem with my first fh preset (yeah, apologies but I'm a beginnier) and found this, https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=26062.0. I did as was told and changed my mane code to what they gave me https://www.dropbox.com/s/d15xp6tup0ddg7l/bandicam%202017-11-26%2021-30-24-607.jpg?dl=0 as you can see. Then I went to check my mane and was given this problem

https://www.dropbox.com/s/msuxj9colyq1gnv/screenshot_11262017_212917335.png?dl=0
Anyone know what I did wrong?

Edit: I do have the file number correct

Hmm, I'm not very experienced with animations and such, but I don't believe order is an issue, as long as they are in the folder. Try making sure you don't have duplicate or missing files, and check for duplicate particles that may be causing your game to crash.
I have no meshes or particals [besides the originals of course] and nothing missing, I can go into the FH Preset maker, but only on feline, when i switch to canine [which is the file that is messing up] it crashes.

Game Help / Re: Tearless Mod
« on: May 24, 2016, 02:04:48 am »
Another suggestion is to make sure the texture isn't a different size than your preset file. For example, if you're working with a file 512x512 and you past a texture that's like 1000x1000, the texture will appear weird/enlarged compared to your file (in other words, the texture won't resize itself). If this is the case, then all you have to do is resize the texture and it should be ok ^^
When adding fur textures, depending on what art program you're using, ( Me , Gimp ) what I do is open the layer in the art program...then I set the texture to multiply. Once that's done I add a new layer and I name it 'Base Coat' ( you don't have to of course ) and then I color it whatever color I want and then move the layer under the fur texture. From there I add a new layer in between the base and the texture and just color/add details.

You don't HAVE to do this but this works better for me whenever I want to know where everything goes and such.
Hope I didn't confuse ya ^^
Thank you once again ;D

Game Help / Tearless Mod [Fixed]

So, I downloaded Tearless Mod quite awhile back through http://renascentia.freeforums.net/thread/99/realistic-fur-texture <---that link, and I recently attempted creating a preset, but when I added cheadShade.jpg to my preset made on gimp, it was completely distorted, is this a problem I created or does it have something to do with the Tearless Mod?

Game Help / Re: .material File for Presets

It was a success, thank you a ton :)
If you're asking how to set the preset as a notepad then you would simply right-click the file and then open with until you see notepad and it'll set it as a default. If it's not listed then you will go to more options until you find it.
And if what Hakumi said doesn't work, right-click the file and go to Properties, and then a little window should pop up showing you the properties of the file such as what kind of file it is. Right there in the first tab it opens on should be an option that says "Open With..." and from there you can set what program you choose to be that kind of file's default program. Once you've chosen, click either the Apply or the OK button on the Properties window and it should work. Unable to get on my computer right now so it's hard to explain this without visually looking at it, but I'm sure someone else can explain this process better than I did if you're confused.
Both, thank you ;D
