You're not the only who gets directed to those ads when signing in to the log-in page. Although they can get quite bothersome, the ads are a necessary part of keeping the game up and running for everyone to enjoy.
Aside from that, are you connecting to the game alright or are you still experiencing difficulties? I wasn't quite sure from the description, if it was simply the ads bothering you or FH still not wanting to connect.

I just tried to login on the page here to play but I'm not getting the "keep this page open while you play" message, i just get sent back to the play game login page. FH just isn't connecting, i guess.

I know this has been answered a billion times, but another problem has come up for me relating to that. Ive unblocked FH from my firewall, and my internet works fine. The thing is, if i try and login though the page online, i end up getting taken to a screen that gives me viruses. (bless avast for blocking them.) I don't know if this is my computer or the FH website itself but I'd really appreciate some help.
