It can look like that. For me it's only occasionally. If you want to fix that, change the 128 value next to alpha_rejection greater_equal for the mane to 200 or 255. 255 might be best. Remember to save after you make the change ^^Should the mane look like this?
It looks like your mane is showing that because there is no transparency on your image. In order for that to disappear you need to erase any white appearing on your mane image. Make sure that the white space is deleted/erased and saved as a transparent background (.png file). Hope that helps c:I did that and it came out like this
