I don't know why you get the username or password wrong.
But I can tell you that the web page login is a bit tricky, if you type your username wrong only once then you get logged out from the webpage even if it still shows you are logged on, in consequence you get the message "Cannot connect to front server". So you have to refresh the website (press F5) and ty again.
One of the most common problems I know are the numpad doesn't type numbers correctly ingame it only gives spaces.
