Your video was really helpful, Red. The only thing I changed that may have helped was keeping the image as background and locked. I didn't do that before when trying to work on the new image.

Also, you earned  yourself a subscriber on YouTube. I want to be able to go back to your videos if I mess up again. Thanks for the help!!

Alright, now I don't remember how I managed to get this working before when I made a map. I looked up videos on YouTube on how to make a terrain height map. It is 513x513 and greyscaled, I did it on photoshop. I saved it where I hope I was supposed too, unless things changed since I played last like a year or so ago.

Anyways, when I go to get the height map on Feral Heart it just crashes me every single time. Now the crashing ONLY happens when I am trying to get this height map on.

I saved it on my computer under
FeralHeart>media>terrians
Is that not where I am supposed to put it? I mean it is where my old map was too.

Did anything change since I last played? I am up for a redownload in case updates happened since I last played. Also it can't be my computer cause this is the same computer I made my previous map on that worked. Now every time I try things, it crashes.

I tried looking up other topics on the matter and nothing helped. Everything I try doesn't work, it still just crashes when I try to upload the height map.

Gonna point out that my friend did all of the above that was quoted here. I even PMed a staff member, I think, and they have yet to reply back to me. At this point, all that my friend is doing. Its giving her messages implying that her account just doesn't exist. Yet, before I post this and before that day, she was able to play just fine. And then yesterday it started to suddenly do this to her. She is worried that her account got hacked and deleted it or something like that.

She said she can make a new account but that may take forever since registration is not always open. So kind of hoping to figure out whats wrong with this account or what happened to it.

To start off, I am writing this for my friend who is having serious problems right now. And honestly, it confuses me a lot. If you are wondering why she is not posting a post here or even reporting it herself is because she can't. My friend can't log in anywhere. She tried once and it banned her for 15 minutes for some odd reason. She input her password correctly 5 differently times and all times said wrong password. Ok, she was banned and she waited her time out. She goes to log in again and same thing is happening. My friend is worried that someone is messing with her account or something. I told her to change her password but she can't even do that. Says email is invalid. Some 403 error thing.

It's like her account doesn't exist, yet she was playing earlier or yesterday just fine. Also, remember that I am only posting this post because she can't.

And it can't be said her account doesn't exist, cause it does she was playing it for a few days already.

Game Help / Map Sharing Confusion

Ok, so I made a map. I saved it and go into it just fine ingame. I then wanted to share the map with my friend, let her get on the map. I watched youtube videos and such on how to do it, I followed them completely. Told my friend how exactly how to do it. We even screen shared on skype, I looked at what she did and she did everything correctly just like I told her how. Yet, she can not see the portal to my map in Cape of Distant Worlds. Now I am wondering if I messed something up in the process. I made the map, saved it, exported it all. It ended up as a file on my computer in the correct folder, which I figured would happen. I then followed a video and zipped the file up. Uploaded it onto Mediafire, gave the link to my friend to download. I understand the files need to be like .fhm and stuff like that. But what I have noticed, by even exporting and all the the files seem to be saved as .cfg
Now I am not sure if that is correct or should not have happened. And to me, I feel the reason behind the fact my friend can't access my map is cause the file type is not correct. So, I am wondering if forgot to do something or did something wrong. And I am hoping someone could help me, or correct me on the issue.

On a side note, what is the difference between a portal and a gate? Cause I only made a portal, but not sure if a gate is needed or not.
