Game Help / Re: Main.db file in feral heart files?
« on: May 22, 2025, 02:38:35 pm »

Hello, I don't know anything about db files, but I think you should check folder FeralHeart/media/terrains on your old computer.

From there you can find data of all maps you left in map editor. For each map there should be 1 file named {map name}.map and 1 folder named {map name}.

You may want to copy those (it may be easiest to just copy whole folder) to the equivalent folder FeralHeart/media/terrains on your new computer and check if you can access them from the map editor.

Does this help?

Finished Maps / Hitcat's Parkour Maps
« on: April 22, 2025, 08:42:43 pm »
Hello, for a while I've been thinking about making parkour maps. If I ever created any, I may want to share them in this thread to anyone interested.

Hitcat's parkour map set 1:

Download link (RECOMMENDED VERSION): https://www.mediafire.com/file/mcb2wjcdsfrblag/HitcatsParkourSet1Version2.zip/file (Uploaded 17.05.2025)
(The zip file contains readmeow.txt with additional install instructions if needed.)

Special download cases:
Download link (OLD VERSION): https://www.mediafire.com/file/xhki0ntl97sjnr2/HitcatsParkourSet1.zip/file (Uploaded 07.05.2025)
(This map is older version of the map. It was kept for those who don't like animated or moving textures.)

Download link (Lightweight edition): https://www.mediafire.com/file/dt1q0l7xxo7usxb/HitcatsParkourSet1LightweightEdition.zip/file (Uploaded 17.05.2025)
(This edition should run smoother on older hardware.)

Download link (FHU Wasteland Edition): https://www.mediafire.com/file/fc4639s4kqxq72z/HitcatsParkourSet1FHUWastelandEdition.zip/file (Uploaded 17.05.2025)
(This is intended to be identical map set as the previous one, except that the map will work on FHU (Feral Heart Unleashed).
I wanted to port the map set for FHU, but porting the map from oFH to FHU didn't go according to plan and eventually I had to give up making a high quality version for FHU.
Thus this version of the map looks ugly, its feliportal is broken, its ambient sounds don't work and the map takes 50MB of memory (10 times more memory than the previous version).
The Meownt Pawcake Half-Meowrawrton looks more like a wasteland than a pinetree forest and that's why the map set is called Wasteland Edition.)

Includes 4 maps:

- 1: Meow's Rim: (Published 22.04.2025)
A simple parkour map inspired by Sky's Rim.
(This is the only map in the set linked to Cape of Distant Worlds. You would need to complete this map before you can access other maps in the set.)

- 2: Forest Valley Meowrawrton: (Published 07.05.2025)
A very long, hard and unforgiving spiral-shaped parkour map, where you jump on top of trees and try to reach the middle.

- 3: Meownt Pawcake Half-Meowrawrton: (Published 07.05.2025)
Half shorter, more forgiving and aesthetically more improved version of the Forest Valley Meowrawrton.

- 4: Feliportal: (Published 07.05.2025)
Portal map for future maps (if any).

(I'm sorry, but I couldn't attach any screenshots to the thread. Anyways the maps focus on parkour.)

Happy hopping!

Introduction / Re: new one here! :D

Hi.

FH sure has seen better days, but it still got its small, weird community.

One may wonder how a big, clumsy bumble-bee manages to stay on air... no-one understands how, but somehow it just does. I wonder the same about the FH server... 2 of the maps (Seaside Groove & Eastern Pass) are down (no-one knows when they will be fixed), no official game updates for about 5 years, but the server still stays online... I don't understand how, but somehow it just does... which is kind of cool.

That's it for the long, weird, message... welcome to the community!

Now, since recently, Seaside Groove seems to also be broken by the same way.

After almost 5 years we still don't know who will post last and that's why I'm grumpy. Grunt!

No, obviously you didn't miss it. A day there and there in this forum doesn't seem so big deal. Also thanks, it's nice to see your purple tigerface too.

Game Discussion / Re: How is "users playing" actually calculated?
« on: August 13, 2024, 09:32:04 am »
I think it's just counting the players who have logged in from the website using the Play Game feature.

This is easy to test simply by logging in/out and refreshing the frontpage. When you log in, the counter will increase by 1, when you log out, the counter will decrease by 1. The more times you repeat it, the more sure you can be that the counter wasn't affected by random user logging in/out.

I tried to log in & out 10 times and refreshing the frontpage, and based on it the thing I said makes sense.
