Feral Heart

So after years of not being on feralheart i thought i'd give it a try, but as i go to load it up it comes up with just a black window then seconds later closes. Before you say it ive already tried reinstalling it millions of times, im running windows xp 2002 version which shouldnt make a difference as ive played fh on xp before so dont understand whats going on. no text boxes appear when i load it up the window comes up and then just disappears. any help would be greatly appreciatted as ive been stuck for ages and just really want to play this game again!

oh one more thing , do i have to put the cape of distant worlds co ordinates in? because i dont know them....
