Feral Heart

Hi, hi!
I'm just another noob-ish map maker in need of an answer, please!

Okay - so I've been making this map on my Dell laptop, which is a known flake when it comes to graphics and processing, etc. I figured it wouldn't hurt to make a minimalistic detailed map, but as it turns out, I can't do minimalistic, and it now has over fifty meshes detailing just one, small area. Due to this, my laptop cannot physically handle the map, and it's EXTREME lag.

Now, I was wondering, could I possibly transfer the map to a better computer to edit WITHOUT losing the items I've already place? Is that possible? If not, I understand, I'd just be rather disappointed I'd have to remake what I've already placed.
