Seeking Book Characters!
« on: August 19, 2012, 08:57:50 pm »
      Hello, people of the Forums, Kara Here! I'm writing a book, and I need some characters, but alas, I can't think of any! I'll start posting the story on these forums, as well as drawings from time to time of characters, scenes, and more! (And of course, you're allowed to do the same!) But we'll cross that bridge when we get there! I need some more characters to write about before I can write more of the story, and there are some dire spots that need to be filled! We still need several Vectors, Rulers, God Children, and such (see the rp page for more info on this stuff). So, I can't do this without you! Just take a peek at the rp page, which has all of the possible backgrounds for your character, then fill out the form below! Also, take note that the rp rules apply for these book characters as well! Now...let's get started!

Character Forms:

Name: [First and Last, please!]
Species: [Human, Vector, God-Child, Ruler, Android, Companion Animal]
Species Special: [optional; this is the section to post if your character is anything abnormal and sub classes of species]
Nationality: [Where did your character originate?]
Gender: [Explains itself]
Age: [Try to space out ages a little, a squad of teenagers wouldn't be the only ones to save the world!]
Alignment: [Good, Neutral, Evil]
Personality: [Please give me something I can work with. I can't make a good book with flat characters! Give them hopes, dreams, habits, good traits, negative traits, likes and dislikes, fears, and preferences! It's these little details that make good characters!]
Looks: [Again, make this detailed, and I will try to draw a picture of your character! List things such as height, weight, build, skin-tone, facial structure, scars, and again, every little detail you can think of!]
Companion Animal: [Optional; Please pay heed to what kind of animal your character SHOULD have!]
Weapon(s): [Does your character wield a steampunk styled clockwork gun? Or is a tattered old staff their only defense?]
Story: [Please don't everyone give me the same old 'abuse, abandonment' sob story! Make it interesting! Huge historical events, like revolutions and rebellions make good triggers for stories, but again, don't make it typical!]
Occupations: [Refugee humans are able to have a number of jobs in their underground cities, did yours?]
Birthplace: [You can make up a town for this, again, the maps aren't concrete yet.]
Other: [Did I leave anything out? Put it here!]

Anonimousity. It's like we're faceless...but with faces. Do I even logic?

Name: Arthrik Baeker {Ar-tf-rick}
Species: Vector of Memory
Species Special: n/a
Nationality: Elphegort
Gender: Male
Age: Appears to be in his late forties
Alignment: Neutral, can be evil with his slight sadistic personality at times
Personality: Arthrik has a intelligent personality often one with a sarcastic sense of humor and witty remarks at hand when involved in a verbal debate, since, similar to the people of Elphegort, he is a scholar. As a scholar, Arthrik has engulfed himself in the studies of history and has a strange hobby of organizing. No matter what topic, he loves collecting data and organizing it into some pattern that makes sense to him, and not the world. Being one of the vectors of memory, Arthrik has seen many things and thus has not come to settle itself within the scholarly figure's heart. Though, it did make him gain a rather... sadistic nature. He seems to be a calm collected figure with an aloof and icy nature, graceful and elegant even with his words. Arthrik strongly believes that a gentleman must never use dirty terms, and must keep a calm composure even when insulted, taking those with a smile. Though, when Arthrik gets to his breaking point, it becomes a nightmare for most people. Arthrik just starts raging his head off with the most diverse and rather unique vocabulary known to mankind as he patronizes the figure that annoyed him. Arthrik, once again, being one of the Vectors of memory, has a hope to restore the world to the way it was originally. Free. Beautiful. Arthrik has a calm and composed personality, and a sly nature to fit with his vocabulary. Overall, Arhtrik doesn't associate well with others', he lives within his own mind and is a man of himself, not the world. It would take a lot of convincing to gain Arthrik's aid because with not only age and wisdom on his side, he also has experience and knowledge to back it up, and that therefore makes one of his strongest, yet weakest traits, suspicion. Though Arthrik may not act like it, he despises those who abuse the poor and have little compassion, though Arthrik's last traces of compassion may have nearly disappeared completely, that is only due to his suspicion, otherwise Arthrik is a compassionate man.
Arthrik dislikes loud crowds, foul mouthed people, bad tea, sweet coffee, chocolate, arrogant people, and rather... A lot of things. Arthrik seems to have a criticism for just about anything, though he does compliment certain things. Those things are his likes; he loves well made tea, dark coffee, classy, not to mention, expensive items with antique value, and he loves to get involved in an intellectual debate. Arthrik, though he tries his best not to show it, is quite afraid of birds, perhaps it's the talons, perhaps it's the beak, no one knows exactly why... His secondary fear is, once again, a strange one, is the fear of wind mills. He just can't stand anything working in the same pattern as a grand wind mill, no, he can't even stand a revolving fan. Lastly, Arthrik is afraid of chandeliers because he believes one of these days, those will fall down and kill a man. Not like it's impossible or anything.
Looks: Arthrik looks as classy as he may act to be, he has a shock of grey-black hair slicked back with a pale scrawny scholarly complexion. He has a pair of dark blue eyes, often narrowed in a glare or containing a thoughtful look. He has a serious expression with a frown most of the times, and a pair of thin brimmed glasses resting upon the bridge of his nose with a silvery colored brim. He isn't a tall man, standing below a "german's" average height at about 5'8". He has scars upon his body from his youth, criss crossed lashes upon his back and arm when he stole food now covered by a white dress shirt and a classy suit. He has a face that clearly reflects the stress of knowledge, age lines and white hair clearly obvious to an on looker.
Companion Animal: Arthrik has at his side, not quite the most elegant creature matching his owner's appearance, a scrawny aged mutt that looks like the cross between greyhound and an irish wolfhound with a tattered, ragged and shaggy looking coat. The dog's name, as given by Arthrik is Einsam, a dog he met upon the streets and took in due to his compassionate heart. Einsam, meaning "lonely", is the only one who Arthrik shows his true side to, not knowing who to trust any longer.
Weapon(s): Arthrik, despite not looking like one for the fight, has, after living a ridiculously long time compared to normal people, has gained some street smarts, especially battle smarts. He uses surprise, ridicule, and the like to his advantage due to his appearance of a weak old man who seems close to good for nothing but a verbal exchange. He carries with him a silver staff with a red gem wrapped around by a silver dragon, hidden within the cane is a sword made to fit in especially.
Story: Arthrik has had, not one of the worst pasts, I presume, but a tragic one to say the least. Arthrik's personality rather reflects on his past. Long ago, when everything flourished and prosperity ruled the land, Arthrik was a young man of the age sixteen, growing up with a younger brother at the age of ten of which he loved very much. Then one day the government over ruled with the new idea to create an invincible body, but Arthrik had his suspicions about the like, for no such thing as invincibility and immortality existed on this land. Much to Arthrik's displeasure, his parents left the two brothers alone to 'find out' more about this idea. They never did return; or to say the least, they returned but just weren't the same. Soon pain and corruption filled the streets, the peace they had known for so long vanishing into something disastrous. Troublesome. Tragic. Horrible. Hunger and famine filled the once beautiful land, and Arthrik strive to survive with his younger brother, stealing food for the two, pick pocketing, any dirty act of survival no matter how shameless, he did. And for he did it for his brother. When the two were beaten by angry chefs and cooks for stealing food, Arthrik would cover his younger brother for him to eat. But one day, even after Arthrik's harsh struggle to keep the two alive, his younger brother fell ill. He couldn't doubt the government now, no, not when his younger brother was dying before his eyes. He rushed to gain the government's aid, and when they finished, his brother too became changed. His brother's soulless body raged why his elder brother did not save him from this fate, instead he allowed him to become a despicable creature and attempted to kill Arthrik. In order to save himself, Arthrik killed his first human with his only weapon, a doctor scalpel, and boy was the guy twisted when he contemplated the action afterwards. But he remembered his younger brother's last words, even within the soulless robotic body as he died he somehow became back to normal and whispered to his older brother to live for the two of them, to live well and somehow change things. Arthrik never did really agree with the second part, but he did promise to live well.
Occupations: Arthrik has done many jobs, from being a teacher, a scholar, a scientist, an author and scribe to a sewage plumber. Arthrik has no shame in whatever job he takes as long as he survives, he's fine with it.
Birthplace: Can I be lazy? ;-;
Other: Nothing Fufu, but Xiahou kept his promise~ ;)
Fufu, I'll add another character tomorrow or something, when I'm less lazy~ I hope you love Arthrik :3
You can edit Arthrik as much as you like, I don't really care XD
