How to get characters out of frozen maps
« on: September 21, 2012, 06:32:09 am »
I created a huge map and it froze the computer everytime I tried to jump in. How do I get my characters out of that map without having to delete and remake?

How old is your comuter and how detailed is the map? How many stuff have you downloaded for Feralheart if you have? If you downloaded/created a lot of things and/or yuor computer is very old then i can't fix it if your computer is bad or old but if you downloaded/created a lot of things i suggest you delete some. If the map is highly detailed with meshes and a lot then i cannot help you there, the map is gone. How huge did you make it though? I made a very huge mpa once and it crashed on me. Though, i forgot how i fixed it but i might've got in before it crashed and lowered the number in time. You might've made the number of the hugeness too high. I'll research on how to fix this wihtout going in-game maybe.

As Rhiannon stated, it's probably the volume/mass of the map that you created, and if you have a slow/old computer, it might not function properly.

If you don't want to lose the map, you can make a temporary folder on your desktop and drag the files into there, then put them back once you've gotten your characters out. As an aside, I'd also reccomend making a 'test' character to keep this sort of thing from happening, especially if you've got an older or slower computer.
