Problems entering my map from Cape.

Basically, both me and my friends are unable to visit my map. It says that we can't reach the main server, yet when I tried my friends map, I entered with no troubles at all.

Also the map was fine earlier. Now we're having sudden troubles entering it?
Nothing has changed in any files, so I'm not sure what's causing this.

Any help at all?

If the exact message you're refering to is the random "failed to connect to map server" message it's a normal thing that happens every so often. I go through it many times with a map pack I downloaded some time back called the "Darklore Territories". Sometimes I can access it with no trouble and other times I get that message randomly no matter how many times I try to load in. Usually after a little while sometimes a few days to weeks the map starts working again and you can access it. There doesn't seem to be a direct fix for this problem if it is your case. You just have to wait it out a little while usually. Sometimes after the server is restarted the maps work again too.
