Make sure you've got the right code.

Let's say, if you go into your Terrains folder, and the .png image for your grayscale heightmap (that's the official name for your map design) is named 'Albinocarrot'.

So, go into Map Maker, and in the terrain box you should type in specifically Albinocarrot.png

You have to have the entire file name in there, including the '.png', since that's how the game renders it.
This should work for you. c:

There's many things that could happen.

Your image MUST be square, I do 513x513 most times. If it isn't square, Feralheart might crash upon typing the name in.

Make sure you type in exact letters in Map Maker because Feralheart is case-sensitive. For example, if I named my height map "DevsIsland", once going into Map Maker I couldn't say "devisland".

Did you export the file into the right folder? I put all my heightmaps in the Watermill folder:

Computer>Local Disk (c)>Feralheart>Media>Terrains>Watermill

You can put it in any of the map folders you want but I always use Watermill in case I haven't made the map yet.

Hope these tips helped!

Make sure you are following the steps correctly.

First step, we make a new canvas c: Make sure all your settings are the same as mine.

Now we start drawing, make sure you only use one layer.

Now we go to save it, Feralheart>> Media>> Terrains>> Map folder. Then name it something with Terrain.png at the end.

If you get a box like the one in the image below, click the Load Defaults button and click Export.

Those are all the things I do when it comes to Heightmaps ;)

I made this for Thrillex which got her terrains working, hopefully it will help you as well :)
Will be inactive due to work and exams.

If you're on Windows, it should just be
Start Button
Computer
Local Disk (C:)
FeralHeart
Also, once you make your terrain, you need to save it in C:\FeralHeart\media\terrains
for the game to find it.
