This roleplay is not strictly a 'demon' rp. This form of Daemon is the classical Greek mythology form, not Latin.
Will you choose the path to peace, learning to love and forgive the beings who both create you, and want to destroy you? Or will you take the road less traveled and plan your revenge against the mighty Greek Gods? The choice is yours...or is it?
Daemon's Salvation is a rp that is loosely based off of Greek mythology and history. Long ago during the time of the Greek Gods, there were spirits and muses known as Daemons. These spirits are the ones who inspired the humans to do their work be it art or philosophy; though it was more common that Daemons become Nature Spirits. It was also these spirits who spread the word of the Gods across the land.
Becoming a Daemon was no easy feat however. In order to have earned the honor to work alongside the Gods, a human had to have lived a near saintly life, doing the work of the Gods and gaining nothing in return. While it was long considered a great honor, newer generations of Daemons considered this 'gift' an eternity of slavery. Though the Elder Daemons tried to subdue the whispers of rebellion, they were unable to keep these voices from reaching the ears of the Gods. With the destruction of their souls upon them, the Daemons scattered. Despite their word to flow the Gods' every word, the Elders had grown attached to select spirits. The elders took their charges to Earth, and did what even the Gods dare not; hey split the young Daemon's soul in two.
The resulting creature was a Kakodaimon, two halves of a spirit forming nearly a whole. One half wanting their chance at redemption, the other wanting revenge. Those who were not split, and managed to escape the Gods' wrath were spared, giving the Daemons' existence another chance.
