Map making question
« on: February 24, 2013, 09:55:43 pm »
On map maker in the 'Controls' tab there is an 'Is Large' check mark box and I was wonder if anyone knew what it was for or what it does...? I can't seem to figure it out. :/

I have seen that before and I dont really know what it does.. I kinda just left it there ya know?
Maybe it has something to do with heavy lag meshes?
It has never done anything before to me like make me crash if I did anything to it for example.

I'm not 100% sure what it is but I think it's to do with the size of your map and to prevent lag and crashing for large maps with the size 10,000x10,000 and above. By selecting (Ticking) the box I guess it changes the map's settings a little.

The "Is Large" button is there so objects can be seen more easier from distance than other objects.

Example:

The rock on the right has the "Is Large" box ticked, the other doesn't.

As I move further away the rock on the right fades away while the other is still there.

I hope that answers your question :)
