Presets never work for me

Wow.. ok first thing you need to do is CALM DOWN and read about what I'm going to explain - okay?

Well first you need to get the link to the preset download and type it into the URL box on your browser.

Once you've done that it will lead you to mediafire [Or any other file sharing sites]. Click download and then come back!



You're back? Okay.

So now you should have selected download. If you havn't then you're rubbish at following step by step tutorials. If you have, then good for you! But anyway.. lets move on. Once you have selected download, click save and go into your downloads and you should see 'YourFriend'sUsername_#'.

Example:
BigBangTheory_5
.General.._8
Shallow_6
PrettyReckless_12

It should also look something like this.



All you should see is the username and the number of a .CFG preset file. Simple.

Check to see if it's in your downloads and come back.

Oh! You're back? good.

Now. If it isn't there then download the preset file again and if a pop-up saying 'Save as' Then click that and save it into Local Disk (C:)\FeralHeart\Presets. NOT My Presets!! PRESETS.

If you DID find the file you downloaded in Downloads then move the file into Local Disk (C:)\FeralHeart\Presets. Again NOT My Presets!! PRESETS.

Finally all you need to do is restart FeralHeart and BAM you can see your friend's Preset.



F.A.Q

What's this? you're having trouble? Well just take a look at these solutions.

I can't see my friend's preset...

Solution one: Go to Local Disk (C:)\FeralHeart\Presets and search for the preset file you downloaded. If you see something like 'Username_#(1)' [Or 2, 3, 4..etc..] then just Right click the file, select 'Rename' and delete of the (1) [Or 2, 3, 4... you get the idea]. Then restart FH again!

Solution two: Go to Local Disk (C:)\FeralHeart\Presets and search for the preset file you downloaded. Ask your friend if they have any capitals in their name if you don't see any. Example: You see bigbangtheory but it's actually BigBangTheory. If that is the case then Rename the file to the correct user name and restart FH.

Solution 3: If you're seeing your friend's old preset instead of the new one, all you need to do is Replace the old one with the new one instead of having a duplicate.

How to download a ready made preset.

Oh. So you want to learn more do you? Ok, well I guess I have time.

The first thing you want to do is get the ready made preset URL and type it into the URL box in your browser.



After that it will lead you to a file sharing site such as Mediafire, sendspace etc... Once you've done that click download and then come back!

You're back so soon? But I was in the middle of eating! But I might as well stay and tell you the rest.. I guess. So, once you have selected download, click save and go into your downloads and you should see a folder called 'Preset_1' [Or 2, 3, 5, 6.. You get the idea.] If you see the folder, place it into; Local Disk (C:)\FeralHeart\My Presets. Then REPLACE the folder if it tells you to. Once you've done that, come back.

Oh, so you're finally back. Took your time. So lets move on! Once you've done that, go into FeralHeart\Tools\Preset Maker and go to the last section. You should see a box that looks like this:



Select the preset number that is the same number of what is on the folder you downloaded and come back once you've found it.

You're back again? So I'm guessing you've found the preset you're looking for. If you have - click 'Export' which is under the box and Restart FH. After that, log in and choose a character in character creator, select 'Edit' and go to the last section as shown below:





Preset not working? Then follow these solutions:

Solution one: Go into Local Disk (C:)\FeralHeart\My Presets and search for the one you replaced earlier. Now there should be a Preset_#.CFG in there with the number that matches the file you have. Make sure that they're all saved as the same file type at the image that needs to be a .PNG file. If it isn't - then change it to .PNG at the end. Example:

Then save and export the preset again in preset maker.

Solution two: Make sure that the preset image is saved with the height and width of 512x512. If you don't know how to find out, look at the image below:
