I have run out of room for maps in The Cape of Distant Worlds. I don't want to delete my maps, so is there anyway I could use Fluorite Plains for my maps?
There is a limited number of things you can do, unfortunately utilizing Fluorite Plains as a new "Cape" is neither possible nor one of them.
My advice to help clear out the clutter is
1. Reorganize and move out any maps you personally have made and do not intend to use or finish
2. If ANY of the maps you have were created by you, organize a sort of "portal map" map in map maker for your own personal use. What do I mean by that? Turn off the "Has portal" checkbox in your map maker for the maps you no longer want showing up in cape and use another map who's portal is in cape to link to that map using the gate destination system. This means you could put the portal of say, 20 maps inside of one map. I have made approximately over 50 maps (although I no longer have every single one installed, I do have a lot) and I also have friend's maps in addition to that so this is a very effective strategy
3. If none of the maps you have were made by you, but you would like to keep some of your less-used maps safe but easily accessible you can move the map's "fhm" file to a safe folder somewhere else on your computer. And just rotate moving maps through those folders. Sure, you'll have to put the fhm file back in exports when you want to go into that particular map but if you leave the rest of the map's files alone, it will be the only thing you have to move and is much faster than deleting and reinstalling all the time. This is probably the easiest of the options.
