So this is annoying a friend...

Alright my friend has had a pack for some time now and didnt know of another pack going by close of the same name (only they have it as "wolf pack" at the end and his does not)
now we have had a user go to one of our members ranting on "oh the other pack is copyrighted i can report you" etc when we dont know of any other pack by it
soon after another user whispered my friend who is the own of the pack and threatened him
they are apparently from this "copyrighted pack"
and had stated in whisper to him
"delete your pack or im gonna get you and all your members banned"

its getting pretty annoying to my friend and he wanted me to see if anything can be done about it, he has had his pack over a year nearly now and is fed up of people telling him to delete it etc or that they'll report him for its "name"
we then asked someone who whispered what the other pack thats "copyrighted" is and they told us
so we searched it up and searched there website and everything
and there pack almost does have the same name but we didnt know until others whispered and threatened over it
we was wondering if its possible to get sorted out or should we just block/ignore them??

You will encounter the same or similar group names in Feralheart, it's not against the game rules.

Harassment and threats are against the rules, however. It seems to me that your friend is being harassed by these members, personally I would report the members that are being a bother. Your friend has no reason to delete the group due to "copyrighted names" and as long as no rules are being broken then no one in the group will have to be banned.

Your best bet is to report these people to staff members, you can find a list of them here. Staff may not reply straight away so in the mean time I would suggest blocking anyone who is bothering your friend.

If a name is copyrighted, then it is for that exact name, if you are for example. "Shadow" And the other pack is "Shadow wolf pack" They are different, as you can see, and there is no claim over just the word "shadow" as this would be a ridiculous and outrageous claim.

Make sure you have screenshots to back up your claims if you are going to report to moderators for harassment, block members in question if it continues

Some packs do happen to have similar names, but if they are threatening like that, you can take it to an FH staffer, but I would just ignore them and block them.

This right here, pretty much.

Since we don't know the pack name, this one is difficult to prove much of anything for either parties. If the pack's name is "Dark Shadow" or "Dark Shadow Wolf Pack," or any other  names that are fairly common among wolf packs (or any RP for that matter), it's really quite difficult for these users to say that you're genuinely trying to steal their group, or vice-versa.
The only case where their claims that you're a "copy" would be justified, were if your pack had identical plots, rankings (and not just Alpha/Beta/Omega and so on, but actual unique and unusual ranking names), stolen website themes (where applicable), or even characters that have been taken would make a believable case of ideas being taken from another.

If this is the case, these users may send in screenshots if they genuinely believe that their ideas have been taken--but from what I can see, your friend's pack has done no wrong.

The wrong that I do see would be the harassment your friend's pack is receiving. These users have no right nor jurisdiction to claim that they "can get you and your pack banned" by reporting, as this it is solely staff's choice in who is restricted from the game. Reporting does not always equal a restriction, therefore it would be ideal if more users would understand this correlation. In fact, they can report, but they will not choose whether or not your pack will be banned (and it is extremely, extremely rare that misunderstandings between pack names becomes an offense that ends in a ban).
When they harass your friend's pack, they should take screenshots of this, and report the screenshots to the staff so we can take it from there. You need only block the harassing users after this. They can always approach us as well if they believe something is still wrong.
