Presets

Hey guys, I'm new to FH, only been playing for a day, and I wanted to ask a few questions involving presets. If I create one, can other players not see me using it? And if not, is it possible to somehow use a preset as a template for a character, and then 'turn the preset off' or something? What I mean is, if I used  the material files from someone else's preset, would other players see this, or would they simply see a white lion/wolf? And if they could not, is there any way to make it so that they CAN?

You can simply upload your preset's .fhp in the User Panel to let others see it, if that's what you mean. I'm slightly confused here, to be honest on what you're saying...

Turn it off? You'd probably just have to take off the preset for the time being if you want to do that. However, you wouldn't appear bleach-white with it on; People who haven't downloaded your preset would just see your character's default markings and colors on, so it can be hard sometimes to tell the difference between someone with a preset and not, to be honest...

Hello and Welcome to Feral Heart. The white, marshmallow people you see, are people who have downloaded "Mass Markings", which allows you more options for markings. You can see them if you download it too, but that is not what you need help with.
If you create a preset and export it using the "preset maker", all you have to do is upload it to MediaFire and get the link that it will give you. After that, you just have to give the link to whoever you want to see your preset. They will have to download it and place it in their "presets" folder.
I am not sure what you mean by "turn the preset off"? but yes you can take the preset off and put it back on as many times as you want.
SO. If you make a preset and where it on a character, no one else will be able to see it. They will see you a's you look with out it on. So say you make a purple wolf, yet you are wearing a preset that makes you yellow, everyone who has not downloaded your preset will see you as a purple wolf.
AND. Yes there is a way that they can see it. Once you are finished making your preset and you have saved it as one of the preset numbers (1-12)  Then You Open up feral heart. And BEFORE you log on, below where your password goes, there is a button that says "tools". Click that, then press "preset maker". It will look like you are creating a character as usual, and if you go to the last 'slide" where you would choose the colors, there is a box below that with "preset_1, preset_2, preset_3 etc etc..." Click on the number that you saved  you preset as.
For example, if you saved your preset in the number "_5" file, than press "preset_5". Your character should now be "wearing" your preset. now all you have to do if press the "export button" and it should export successfully.
Then, you can either press "test" which will put you in your own personal little flat map so you can see your preset. OR you can press "back" or press esc, which will bring you to where you would log in. Now you can log in and choose the character you want to wear the preset or make a new one. Again, go to the last slide where you would color your animal and press "choose preset" and choose your preset! Now you can go into game and see yourself as whatever you are.
