Preset eye colour!
« on: August 04, 2014, 02:48:02 am »
I downloaded this cat preset, and I'm trying to change the eye colour, but it doesn't seem to be working :S It just has the original preset's eye colour...

Original Preset:

Preset Eyes:

I've put the preset back to the way it was. I want to change the preset's eyes to 'IceBlueEye.jpg'. I would appreciate if anyone out there can help ^_^"

Hmm. I think if you edit the preset material in Notepad, the text can be changed. It looks complicated, etc etc... I forget how it works. But this can be used to make asymmetrical presets, and I think it can help you in your predicament. There are videos which you can check out to tell you how these work and how to change them so they help.

Hope this reply helps! ^-^

Yeah, you have to edit the material file. Open the .material file in notepad, scroll down until you see material preset_3_eyeMatL and material preset_3_eyeMatR., then make the texture in both of these sections from Ambereye.jpg to [color]eye.jpg. Make sure you put the wanted eye texture into the preset folder.
