Weird Line Things
« on: September 15, 2014, 01:06:52 am »
I was bored so I decided to go into one of my WIP maps, and I soon noticed on the dirt part of the map these weird yellowish lines:

I assumed that I must have accidentally added a third terrain texture that overlapped the dirt, so I checked map maker, but that wasn't what happened. It had something to do with the terrain texture, since when I put other ones there was no lines.

I did check the texture file, it was the same as before, no weird yellow lines on it or anything.

I haven't worked on this map for a while, but I do know that there was no yellow line things before. Any help would be appreciated! c:

Have you tried little tricks with the image file at all? Like opening it, flattening it, then exporting?
Or exporting as a .png and then opening that .png and exporting to .jpg? o;

I haven't played with the image at all, heck, never even touched it. I'll try doing some of the things you mentioned. ^^

Sorry for double-posting, but that didn't solve it.

I checked the terrain mask to see if somehow lines got across the dirt part, but it's the same as before. Not sure what could be causing this.

Does changing the Rendering Subsystem have any effect on it?

I actually had this issue before, and out of all the help I got nothing would fix this. It may be the way Feral Heart and your computer are processing it. Another attempt, if Ruby's suggestion doesn't help is to delete what ever file it is and redownload it, another possibility is if you absolutely want to see it, to redownload Feral Heart altogether. Or if seeing the texture doesn't matter, try substituting the image by getting another image and naming it the same thing.

That glitch is one of the more tricky ones to fix as I've encountered.

Since this is a map I've been working on for a while and will put up for download soon, I'd like to know if I were to export it and put it up for download and blah blah blah if the texture would appear like this to other users?

I'll try changing the rendering system, but I think I could just try a different terrain texture for it. Thanks for the help!
