Hello, I'm Gyrfalcon I'm so excited to be here! I've had the website up for over a month now, just randomly refreshing it to try and catch a registration period.

I guess I should mention that I have no idea what I'm doing lol, could someone offer a noob some starting tips? ^^ my main question is what the difference between our name and username is, and which one will be displayed in game etc

Your username will show up in the game, for example, if your username is "Gyrfalcon", that name will show up in-game. Your forum name won't display in-game, only on the forums. Great thanks I'll definitely be using those links^^  One other quick question, I edited my forum name to match my ign by going to user details, but it still hasnt changed when I post. (It still says avery as opposed to Gyrfalcon... How do I make that work, or is it even possible?

It is possible. When you go to Profile > Account Related Settings you will be able to see "Name:" Change it to whatever you want, then scroll down and enter your "current password" at the end. Once you've entered your password, click "Change Profile". There may be a chance that the name might be taken so you will need to think of a new forum name or keep it as "Avery". c: Hope I helped ya'.
