Material for .obj cannot be found?
« on: March 07, 2015, 11:36:03 pm »
Okay, so some of you may know that I am trying to get a party started but my map doesn't. I don't see any problems with it other than when I export it, it says: Cannot find material for ____ (Object file name here)!

So would I just need to add material for the objects that have a Basewhite and/or no materials?

You probably haven't added this object to the game properly. Make sure that the material is placed with the other files in the My Objects folder as well as the other content that goes with that specific Object.

Another reason could be that you haven't saved it into a group of its own by making a group for that object and all the objects it came with it.

Could always give them two a shot.

Edit: Also try opening the material file in notepad and look for any textures/materials that could be missing from your folder(s).

I just redownloaded them and followed the readmes. They both had their own group that came with the download, it looks like everything is there but I may export the map again and see what happens now.

EDIT: It still said it >.<

Is it possible that you could have replaced this with another material? Or perhaps the material has been typed in wrong? Wrong material used?

When I first downloaded it, it didn't ask me to replace anything, this is what happens when I load it up:

For some reason the ears are poking out the back and they are a BaseWhite. I have added in the material used for the other ear but I don't think it did anything.
