2. Appearance and PersonalityAppearance -- Pale peach pelt with a white underfur, white front limbs and a white tail tip. Her eyes are glossy green. Some parts of her body, mostly the eyes, muzzle and torso, are covered in subtle-yet-visible scars from previous fights and struggles. Her fur is slightly dirty and unkempt, and her expression/demeanor means both "seriousness" and "intimidation" all together. She's not ugly but her lack of self-care leaves a bit to be desired.
Likes -- A good meal, winning a fight, not being detected while trespassing, exploring, swimming, good conversation, rain, tracking and hunting prey.
Dislikes -- Being interrupted while eating, being slowed down, negative mindsets.
3. Background
Ashi is the sole cub of a self-exiled lioness and exceptional huntress. Her mother, named Kamar, suffered from a moderate degree of mental instability, caused by a life of struggle, distrust and abuse. Ashi was born to a non-consensual relationship between Kamar and her former companion, who's name she never mentioned. This hideous act drove Kamar to run away, while pregnant, in the hopes of finding a better place. She wasn't the most loving mother in the world, and with good reason, though it was hardly Ashi's fault. The thought of abandoning her cub came to mind, more times than she cared to admit, but amidst her inner-conflict she never had the courage to do so. I guess deep inside she found a way to love her cub, in her own way.
Ashi grew up a complete drifter, moving from place to place, shadowing the big herds of herbivores wherever they went. Her interaction with other Prides were scarce and rarely positive. Her mother's body was heavily scarred from all the struggles she had while facing male lions, hungry hyenas and prey who decided to fight back. Ashi believed her mother to be the strongest, most resilient lioness alive, and she wasn't entirely wrong, however, the passage of time is unforgiving and soon enough she found herself alone, her mother gone, never to return.
Now she travels the Savannahs doing what she does best. She's a survivalist first and foremost - her lack of interaction with other lions makes her uneasy and reluctant to make contact. She wanders through different territories, hunting other Pride's food and avoiding detection as best as she can. Fighting for food is a common thing in her life, specially against wild dogs and hyenas, and she already had the (unfortunate) occasion of encountering another lone lioness. The two of them fought a vicious battle, with Ashi coming up on top but scarred. The other lioness, who was older and weaker than Ashi, died on the spot. She holds no regrets though... mostly because she can't afford that kind of mentality if she wants to survive.
