New log in problem (Mac)
« on: April 02, 2016, 01:19:53 pm »
I haven't been online the past four months and came back to play. During this my computer has been in repair store so I lost the installed Feral Heart game in my computer files. I have a Mac -computer and I tried to download the game again. It dowloaded with 'ok' and started the game... nothing happened... the game doesn't start even if it shows that the program is running.

I checked the forum for possible updates and yep. New log in. I have tried this couple of times already but the same text "You Must keep This Page Open While You Play". happens every time. I'm using Safari browser since Chrome is out of the count with these new versions of Mac. I have not tried Firefox yet since it overheats my laptop for some unknown reason... so nope. I do not want to take my Mac to -yet another 1,000 euros repair because I just cannot get the game open.

So... How is it possible that I can log into forum but not in the game? Is this new update something that cannot be played with Mac -computers or what? Please help me. I'm quite confused right now. xD

Do exactly what it said, keep it open, open feralheart, log-in to feralheart, and there you go.

Slightly better explanation-

Open the log-in tab. Log-in right there and keep it open for about a minute. Next, open feral-heart and log-in there. If it says "Cant connect to front server" keep clicking the log-in button a few times anyway, or close feralheart and open it again.

As for it not starting, i'm not experienced with mac issues but would this thread help?

Also, how long is your username? There is a 16 character limit.

This thread is important to read, i think it might solve your problem better than the one above-

And if the other links didn't help-

Is your computer running on the latest version of Mac? If it is, FH simply won't run on it, so you'll have to convert to an older version

Guys, I found a way to continue playing FH if you updated your OSX. You don't have to downgrade, here's the thing: there's this brilliant invention called "PlayOnMac" and it allows Mac users to use ANY program meant for Windows, so all you have to do is get that downloaded and set up, add a new file, and use FH's WINDOWS download, from there, you'll be able to figure it out. Hope I helped!!   Wink

Here's the link for PlayOnMac: https://www.playonmac.com/en/

Someone by the name of Argoo was able to figure out how the game can keep the running without having to downgrade the system.
Don't know much about MAC other than it won't run with the newer version but maybe you can give this a shot & if doesn't work , try converting it back to an older version as Kiki stated & as Wolfwaffles showed.

Keep on traveling across this road called 'Life.'

Yes, I have the newest version of Mac from what I was told in the repair shop. I have a short name "ShadzdA" so it is below character limit... I believe that my days in playing Feral Heart are gone at least until (and if) the game will be updated to newer version in the future.

Hakumi, I also tried the link that you had put in your quote. I was not really pleased to find out the text "Illegal referer detected" popping on my reft corner of blank page. The makers have either been found and closed... or in case Mac is able to detect illegal transfer trough the web.

I would just suggest converting to an older version of Mac or simply using another computer if you have one

However, I believe that link should work if you type it in manually
