Terrain won't work on FH map maker!

I made a map perfectly nothing was wrong, according to the videos on you tube I watched. :I So I save it under .PNG Terrains. (The map is 513 by 513 pixels) So I try to load it onto Feral heart map maker, but every time I try Feral Heart crashes. ;-; I even made other maps and they won't work, I made sure they were in grey scale too. The mask works perfectly fine, just not the terrain. Any help?

Make sure your heightmaps are:
- Greyscale
- One layer only
- .png file
- Title is *MapNameHere*Terrain.png (Take out the "*" of course.)
- Export it into a .png, not save unless you have the older version of GIMP.
- 513x513
- No Alpha Channel

And next time, this should go in "Game Help" section as you'll probably get more helpful answers as well. c:

I think the problem is the "Alpha layer/channel" has not been removed. Try editing your default terrain and saving it as a different name. That is what I do, but you could simply remove the alpha part too.

Oh wow, sorry I didn't notice I had replies. >.<' Well, I will try to figure it out myself, the mask works perfectly just to let you know, if I didn't say that before.

I'm suprised that terrain doesn't work for you. I managed to create one without crashing with my photoshop CS3. I don't know do you still have problems with it, but just look at replies, member made tutorials and manual, I'm sure you will figure out then. Now, my real problem is texture, when I load my map's terrain it's always on greyscale, I can't use any colors. Well, I'll have to try! ^^"

Oh to change it from greyscale you do image- mode- RBG color, make sure to put a new layer above it. I have no idea but I can't just seem to create a terrain on both GIMP and photoshop. :3

Idk if you still need help with your map, but I had the same issue.

I figured out just now (because I'm stupid) that it needs to be Grayscale, not RGB Color. I went back to Photoshop and I went to Image > Mode > Grayscale
