People are always looking for presets so it would be awesome of you to make them. And if they're exceptionally good, you could probably even sell them or do commissions. ^^

Go for it! Presets are fun to make and I, personally, find a great deal of enjoyment in creating them.

Consider doing one or two for yourself, as you'll be able to work at your leisure. If you do have a schedule that allocates some free time, you could also take requests or commissions.

Don't go overboard though, too many requests and it becomes a chore instead of a hobby.

You can make adoptable presets :3 People love those. I'd say if you're bored and you find pleasure in doing it then go on ahead and let your imagination wild with designs
