Logging in to the hacking page HELP

Okay, I need a bit of help.

I recently changed my username from FAFDFS2005 --> squiddy.

For the hacking login page that you have to do, I logged in as FAFDFS2005 and it worked, then when I had to refresh the page and re-do my user and password for feral heart to work, I tried to do the same thing as I did last time (FAFDFS2005) but it won't work, then I tried to do my new username (squiddy.) and it still won't work.

I've kept the same password so I don't think that's the problem. I'm not exactly sure what to do so I need a bit of help.

The numpad can't type passwords well.
It might also be the symbol(The dot in the name) that's causing it to not work.

And by the symbol are you meaning the full stop in the user squiddy.?

The numpad is the square set of numbers usually to the right of a keyboard. Idk if modern computers still have a numpad, but I know in some laptops you have to press a button to enable it.
You can type password with the numpad on the website but not on the game login screen.

I've seen usernames with a period/full stop at the end log into the game so I don't think the period/full stop is the issue.

Ahh yes, my laptop has the numpad. I'm not still not exactly sure why I can't login to the hacking page so I can play though?

Ether your new username isn't activated yet, or the period in your username is actually causing issues with the server (which I doubt but it's a possibility).

Sometimes usernames will not be registered a change and confirmed for the server until after 24-48 hours. Just give it some time before you try again, and hopefully it would have set itself up.
If not however, make sure you send an email explaining your situation to the email WolfQueen has given you above.

Symbols such as periods or other non-letter non-numerical characters will oftentimes cause issues with logging in. Even though in some cases people have been able to use such symbols in their usernames, it has proven to be an effective solution in the past to remove those types of characters from your username.
