White Map Meshes
« on: January 15, 2018, 07:59:08 pm »
This happened a few times now, on my friends map which she newly made a certain tree type displays white. Like it's entirely white the model is there but it's white. I tried downloading the mesh she was using and even taking everything out of my exports and downloading the map again but it's still white. And her forest is basically made out of that tree type and it's entirely white!

Any fixes? D:

The tree's material file probably doesn't have a specified texture in it! Find that material file and open it in Notepad, you're going to want to type in the name of the .png file that came with the mesh into the space after texture.

You are amazing <3

If it's there... but not showing up in game... you can sometimes fix it by making a .material file like the one above, using the material from the mesh (or the texture you want on it) and giving that out with the map (to put in materials folder).
The Japanese concept of wabisabi:
The closest concept in english would be 'rustic'
They might have an old thing, one example is a favourite bowl or dish, it's broken, pieces are missing, why fix it?  With gold and pieces from other dishes?
"Because it was my favourite & I like it"
