Graphics issue?

Hello, I'm new to feralheart (like...I started yesterday on a friend's computer, but officially joined today), so if this thread needs to be moved or if I need to be redirected, please tell me ^.^

I think I'm having a problem with my graphics card.  When I logged in for the first time, I could see everyone's characters clearly, my character moved around without any problems, but everything was black!  I couldn't see terrain, sky, texture, ground, water, etc. When I was creating my feline, the background was also completely black.  However, I was able to see terrain and sky when I entered map building from the starting screen. 
When I installed feralheart, I checked my laptop's info and searched the forum for any help, but had a difficult time finding it.
I'm using a Lenovo Thinkpad T410 with an NVIDIA NVS 3100M graphics card (I only saw information about a Geforce).  I'm running Windows 7 and my computer is a year old. 
Any suggestions on what I can do to try and fix this?

Hmm yes this should prolly be moved to the help section.

As for your problem, have you tried changing the graphics subsystem from openGL to the other option?

I`ve started a new topic here and I`m getting nowhere! where are the devs? can I plz send a support ticket or something? I`m haveing same issue with no map/land, and I`ve done EVERYTHING!!!!
uninstall game/patch reinstall game/patch updates,
update graphics card driver, turned off firewall AND antimalware, switched and swapped rendering a dozen times, switched and swapped resolution, relogged, everything!!
is this game Windows 7 compatible? that`s the only thing I can even think of. plz someone help me!!!!

I fixed the problem, although how I'm not quite certain.  I think I did change the graphic subsystem.  I uninstalled and reinstalled several times, and what seemed to finally work was which link I used to download the installer from. Instead of using the torrent, I actually downloaded it straight from my browser.  This seemed to install fine, and I was able to see all of the graphics. 

@Elizabeth, try doing that first.  I have windows 7, too.
DON'T PATCH IT.  The FHSetup is all you need if you're a new player (i don't know if you are), just uninstall everything, DELETE the Feral Heart folder ***THAT'S SUPER IMPORTANT*** and then re-download the fhsetup file from the website.  Don't patch it, don't install the map packs, just that.  Try it again. after that.

Nope I`ve uninstalled, and reinstalled at least a dozen times without any luck. :/

Can`t download from torrent because I can`t find a safe torrent program utorrent`s corrupted with a trojan

hmm.  When  you get the entry screen, go into options and click on "video." Then click on "Rendering subsystem," whatever it's set to, try the other one.  Then, scroll down to "view distance" and decrease that a little (A higher view/draw distance makes your computer work extra hard.  I'm also on Second Life, so sometimes turning this down on SL gives my computer better performance and the textures look better)  You can also turn off water reflections.  Then exit FH, reopen it, and try again.  BTW, what's your graphics card? Maybe that has something to do with it.

I have the same problem and nothing works.Ive changed settings reinstalled it and nothing works :/

yay! finaly! turning off water reflexion, and lowering my view distance did the trick!

Oh! I do know how to fix this ^^.
I had this exact problem when I had my old computer. I don't know if it will work for others out there.
I had 3 users on my computer. I did a non administator user and the color wasn't working or the graphics card.
Try and go to the administrator on your computer (Your first user)
And go into Feral Hearts..it might just work ^^
