Im pretty sure lots of people have this problem aswell but i cant find a post that actually helps me, when im in the map maker and i put my heighmap into the box thingy where its supposed to go nothing happens, and when i test the map its completely black, the chara is there and you can run around and stuff but its a black screen, i've tried fixing the map numerous times and even made a new one, i've reinstalled the game and it still doesnt work)': please help me Dx

Is your height map 513x513 pixels, in grayscale, and was only 1 layer throughout the process of making it?

yea but in the process of making i use layers, save it, then copy and paste it as a newpicture so it forces it to b one layer
it always worked when i did it that way o3o

When you paste it, do you flatten it?

i have to flatten it? o.o
i'll try that, i think i usually click export or something

Yeah, copy and paste it into a new one, then flatten it, then click "Save as..." then save it as whatever you want.

i flattened it but it still doesnt work, none of the height maps work, its not just the one, like if i opened watermill the objects will be there but no land, only ocean

Oh I see...if uninstalling and re-installing didn't work then I don't know. When you uninstall, deleting the FH folder entirely seems to work for some.
