Terrain hight map is being a royal pain! help please!
« on: August 30, 2011, 11:40:49 am »
Sorry if this has already been mentioned but i'd really like to get this finished, so anyway, when ever i type in the 'Terrain Hight Map' box, FH crashes and closes automaticly, a 'send error report' then pops up...all that for a little box is becoming a royal pain, someone help please?

Yes, i've checked everything on the hight map, its all in greyscale, 1 layer, 513x513 and file type .png

Try making your heightmap a .bmp or .jpeg and save it.

Load the bmp/jpg you just saved and save THAT picture as a .png once again.

Put the new image inside your map folder inside terrains, and load it instead of the old one.

If that doesn't help I'm not too certain.
