This has happened to me with multiple maps before. I've found saving a back up of your map is the only way to prevent this when upgrading to the newest patch. (Move the backup folder to a different location in your hardrive just for safe measures)
As far as the fix goes, I'm clueless.Two of my maps are permanently gone now due to this (bug?)
