Map not working.....HELP

Okay so the other day I made a Height Map, PNG,grayscale, and saved it right to the terrains file. But when I opened the map maker and typed the file name in it says FH has stoped working correctly -_- Now yesterday I made one with the same PNG,gray scale, but it was for test so I didn't draw much on it and it WORKED O.O. Now I'm really ticked off and I don't know were I messed up at.....
 

More info: I used GIMP, and my computer is very new I have had it for a month now.

If it's easier I can make a video on Youtube so you guys can tell me were I went wrong.(of me making the map)

Yeah but I merged them before export...(before saving it)

for gimp this is what u must do for hieght maps.  513x513 grayscale and important which many forget is to remove Alpha channel from it. So on layers right click and make sure to Remove Alpha channel. It must be Png. Hope it works, it should :) i use gimp for my heightmaps
