2: Portals are in every map. They are large floating orange rings, and you walk through them. Except in Cape of Distant world, those are blue except the one to flourite. That's where custom maps go, but you don't have to worry about that. ^^;
4:You just click "Create" when looking at your character in front of the pond background. It'll give you a blank canvas character. c:
5: Well, the models are different for starters. There are specific markings that are on the feline and not on canine and likewise. Same for manes, tufts, and tails.
But you'll begin to notice the more you play that there are differences in the "cultures" of the general population of wolf and feline characters' users. For instance, there are countless Warrior Cat roleplays but very few warrior wolf roleplays. There tend to be more female wolves than male, and more male felines than female. You'll even see branch-off species like coyotes and pumas and such, and even completely random creatures like dragons, horses... I've seen a kangaroo roleplay organized before (but this is rare).
6: Press E to fly, and R and F to rise up or down. You can also use PgUp and PgDwn as an alternate.
If you don't have wings, pressing E can make you run super fast or 'lunge'. It's convenient to move around large maps. x3
