Help please, my characters are trapped in certain maps. :c

I've gotten repeated "Failed to connect to map server. Retry?" error messages whenever I try to log into two of my characters, who happen to be in downloaded maps. Now, one of the two maps had previously been working perfectly, no "Failed to connect" errors or anything. But why is it acting up now? It makes no sense! Mal and Verse (the two characters) are both stuck in either map (I updated one of the two maps recently, that specific map actually being a map pack that used to work perfectly). The only reason I'm posting about it is because I've gotten this "Failed to connect to map server" error message for almost three days now, and only with those two maps (I'm pretty sure every other map works perfectly fine). Now Verse, Mal, and just today my other character XeCo are all stuck. :c I don't know what to do, I read about resetting the map server or something in the Big Help Thread but I don't know what that's implying, probably something to be done by the game admins/developers, or something along those lines. ;

You need to uninstall the game manually. Save any maps or presets you can't afford to lose in a separate folder and delete the WHOLE of FH via Computer > (C:) Drive > FeralHeart. Once you've done this, reinstall the game setup.
If nothing else works, then there's not much that can be done. You'll have to remake the character which is easy enough to do.

If you don't want to uninstall your game, then you'll have to delete the maps you're in and redownload them later. When this happens you'll be surrounded by a black background with no texture, and all you have to do from there is hit home and go back to lonely cave. That, or you could try deleting any cycle or weather files which can actually sometimes be the cause for the 'fail to connect' errors.

Member-made maps often glitch, it's to be expected.

Just run around on a different character in different places and it eventually clears up.

@EvilSock: I have tried deleting both maps. :c The unusual thing and what freaks me out quite a bit is that I don't get a black screen (I have before, I know what it looks like). Instead, I still get the "Failed to connect" error message, even though the maps are all cleared out and deleted from my exports folder. I might uninstall & reinstall the game, but... mmnh. ;

And @~FalconFlight~, I instinctively tried this first-thing. I didn't think this issue would go on this long though, it usually doesn't..

Aw jeez, man! I uninstalled FH, deleted the main folder from my computer/dumped EVERYTHING (except the presets and maps that I made, those I saved of course) and I'm STILL getting a "Failed to connect to map server" error when I try to log in with any of the three trapped characters. T____T

This isn't funny anymore, and I'm not exactly willing to remake those characters. ;A; Isn't there any other way to save them??

I recently had this problem too. My characters became stuck in one of my own maps that I had exported, and I had figured it was from a number of things. However, it seemed something occurred with my entire Feral Heart.

The only thing I can think of to solve your problem, is you need to redownload the latest setup and install that. Delete EVERYTHING, (keep your presets and personal maps separate at first, (in case this could be the issue)) and then try accessing those lost characters.

Again, this could be a server problem, and it may need a reset, (I'm thinking that is what it is, or like Sock said, it could be a weather file problem).
