AVG detecting this as a virus?
« on: May 26, 2012, 02:04:15 am »
hey, i have no idea if this is a false positive or not, but for some reason AVG detects this as a virus as soon as the game loads its main executable, but AVG does not provide a description or anything about it, any help or is this just a false positive?

EDIT: it seems that after a reinstall and running this in sandboxie, then closing, there were no changes made to anything important at all, so i guess this is a false positive. (by the way, the main menu theme is very catchy)

Yes, many virus protectors like to think its a virus due to it being made by unknown company/person to the firewall that it misinterprets it

I actually own the same virus protection for my computer also. And so far AVG may just be asking for you to allow signal back to the company. Just click always allow and it should work. Also I would update the virus protection cause it seems like it may need it since mine hasn't said that about fh for at least 5 months.

To insure you FeralHeart is not a virus, one one of my laptops I have McaFee, It drives me nuts. When I downloaded FH onto the laptop it said it was threat, for the creator was not known. But all I had to do was click "Run anyways" FH has never caused any harm to my computer and laptops. :D
