Just Darkness? (please help, this is actually regarding the game)

So I can log in just fine and such, but whenever it connects to the server or whatever(after you choose which character you want to play as) i see my character, but I don't see any scenery or other players. It's just black. I don't know what to do because when I try to chat but no one answers me(i don't think there's anyone there but me) i try over and over to get to a map or something but it wont let me and idk what to do?!!!! (I'm new so please don't think im stoopid or sumtin.... )

If you're using FH+ I recommend downloading the original version. FH+ is buggy. But if you /really/ want to play it; Sameth's tutorial

If it's regular Feral Heart you're having this problem with; go to options, and then video, and then change your rendering subsystem to whichever one you're not using. Close out, and retry the game.
