Mac users and private maps...

Alright so, one of my friends uses a Mac, and whenever she downloads this map, goes in the the portal, the screen just freezes, and it stays like that. I told her to try to switch to Direct3D9, but it just crashes her. I have spoken to the map maker about this, and she says she has friends in the map who use a Mac. Perhaps, is it just hers? Is there a way to fix this?

I have a Mac as well and this is common. It happens to me a lot when I try and enter private maps. If the map is very detailed that your friend is trying to enter, that may be another reason. To reduce that slightly, you can turn off water reflection, and turn off the music. Also, if the map has music, tell them not to put the music file in.(I know it that sucks, but it helps.)

So, if it does not work, you're pretty much screwed? Are they working on a newer version of FH for Mac? ^^

Well, your not screwed xD but it will just take a while to get in. Also, like I said, if the map is very detailed you can crash and loose connection a lot when your inside the map as well.
As for making a newer version, I don't think so. The only time Mac FH will be updated is if the PC version is updated as well.
