There's A problem.. Help please.
« on: August 29, 2012, 07:27:07 pm »
So, I have A old windows computer. With my other computer it works fine, but this one it has issues. This computer is from about 2005, I think. So, here it is;

Every  time I click it, A black screen comes up, runs A whole bunch of numbers and letters then goes down. Then the thing where you have to pick the system comes up and I pick one. I've already tried every single one and it keeps changing from OpenGL to the Direct one each time I click, and when I try to choose openGL on Direct, there isn't another option. So, when I click OK A black screen comes up and goes down quickly.

Sorry to bother if it really is just my computer. Help please.

so you're not able to get past the black program-running box?

could try switching it manually

think you open up the ogre.cfg file in the main FH folder. believe the below code is what should be for direct3D9

Code: [Select]
Render System=Direct3D9 Rendering Subsystem
[Direct3D9 Rendering Subsystem]
Allow NVPerfHUD=No
FSAA=0
Floating-point mode=Fastest
Full Screen=No
Rendering Device=Monitor-1-Intel(R) HD Graphics
Resource Creation Policy=Create on all devices
VSync=No
VSync Interval=1
Video Mode=800 x 600 @ 32-bit colour
sRGB Gamma Conversion=No
[OpenGL Rendering Subsystem]
Colour Depth=32
Display Frequency=N/A
FSAA=0
Full Screen=No
RTT Preferred Mode=FBO
VSync=No
VSync Interval=1
Video Mode=800 x 600
sRGB Gamma Conversion=No

Only thing different should be your rendering device i believe.. in which case you could leave that as was

And if that doesn't work, you should update your graphics drivers. Worth a shot, since there are times in which a computer becomes 'incompatible' with OpenGL.
