Journey (PS3) Music / Soundtrack Replacments
« on: July 26, 2013, 04:25:56 am »
(I hope this is an okay thing to share? And this is the right section to post it in!)

Hello, Journeyers and Feral Heart players alike! This is just a little something I put together out of boredom, and the fact that Journey is my all time favourite game.

Before I get into the music changes and whatnot, I suppose I should explain what Journey is, if you don't already know.
This is an explanation straight from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journey_(2012_video_game).
"Journey is an indie video game developed by Thatgamecompany for the PlayStation 3. It was released on March 13, 2012, via the PlayStation Network. In Journey, the player controls a robed figure in a vast desert, traveling towards a mountain in the distance. Other players on the same journey can be discovered, and two players can meet and assist each other, but they cannot communicate via speech or text and cannot see each other's names. The only form of communication between the two is a musical chime. This chime also transforms dull, stiff pieces of cloth found throughout the levels into vibrant red, affecting the game world and allowing the player to progress through the levels. The robed figure wears a trailing scarf, which when charged by approaching floating pieces of cloth, briefly allows the player to float through the air."
While the game itself is amazing, I don't think it would be as great as it is, or would have had the same emotional impact without it's beautiful soundtrack, composed by Austin Wintory. It's definitely the best soundtrack I have ever heard. And this is coming from an indie game!

Now, back on topic with the music changes to Feral Heart.

It's just a few tracks I put together, in place for the original FH music. The tracks I chose are not only my favourite, but I think they fit each setting.

Tracks
(Title) 18. I Was Born For This (Ending Credits)
(Plains) 17. Apotheosis
12. Atonement
07. The Road of Trials
(Caves) 08. Fourth Confluence
09. Temptations

Finally, what you've been waiting for! Download!

If it doesn't work, tell me and I'll fix it.

All music was composed by Austin Wintory, for the game Journey, by ThatGameCompany. I don't own any of the music. [/sub]
