Map problems
« on: December 03, 2012, 12:19:22 am »
I just finished a very large map for my pack. I had a couple friends download and test it out, and they are complaining that they cannot see some items. They are all items I've downloaded from other places and not the game's original. Is it because I have to include the object files into the map folder?

What do you mean by this? All you need to do it export the map by clicking export in the map maker of your finished map. Then go into your FeralHeart folder and click on exports. You sould see everything from your map. (If it is empty.) Make a new Zip Folder and then copy and paste all of exported map files into your new Zip folder. Then upload the zip folder to mediafire, 2shared, whatever works. Then give your friends the link. If you did all of that then delete your upload and try again.

I'm not much of a map maker Glitchy but I believe you should have included those files. As Rapid said when you export the map in map maker all the files you need to give to your friends so that the map works would be automatically included after the export so do not leave any out. What ever files you used for your map are the ones you put in your download but also make sure that the custom objects were in their own groups.

And also, if you have another computer. Write down the link and test it yourself on the other computer. If it works for you, then it should work for your friends. If it doesn't work for your friends but works for you, then it's something they did wrong.

Also, make sure you are uploading it to the right website. Like Mediafire or 2shared. Those are great websites for me. :3

i believe what is happening is, if they are missing meshes in the map, is the meshes you imported do not have their own custom groups.

ANY mesh imported through object maker must have its own group, not one that comes with the original feral heart game
